This here is just a fan theory using the context present to us so far and this theory is placed the time about 2 years after the chunin exam to the kawaki x bourto scene,
arc title 'THE war among GODS'
A NEW SPACE TIME AND REALITY(laws) that arnt connected to THE NINJAs world or even the universe as we know it, is now travel-able to humans OR NINJAS. that world is called "gods jungle" because of is vast amounts of pure charka or god charka that roams in this newly found existence.
To ensure the survival of the human race from aliens (alot of aliens/((possibly CLANS worth)) from space). humans are forced to migrate into a new plain of existence/battle field in which god charka(rinnigan, tensengan,forbidden fruits, pure nature energy, and tailed beast) is abundant in this world( this explaining that bortuo is able to see god charka flow with his hybrid byakugan).this allowed the humans to stand a chance against the army of super powered aliens with god infused human made weapons or seals.
This an all out battle between gods for earth or the home of the ninjas.
The aliens strive on charka and probably lack the worlds for then to survive in the old universe SINCE THEY BEEN FLYING FOR DECADES PLANET TO PLANET sucking up the planets nature energy tittts and the ninja world(planet) is close to being the final/last resource-able charka for these aliens can feast on.
The humans who are now able to harvest god charka(way more potent chakra/power/red/other charka op) in this new universe for their own personal use.the humans are able to obtain these powers by befriending these beast like NUE(which is kinda like a cub tailed beast or a starter pokemon:as in they aren't body sealed also meaning owners of these beast arent bounded by the jinchuuriki laws). but most the humans arnt able to control/befriend these god charka would die(kinda like when that ninja ate a piece of the 8t or training to become a jin). they figured out how to turn these god animals into weapons with technology. like for shampoo testing and shit... but yea this is where that sealing technology comes to play: god charka nukes/ bombs.
battle for leaf village which is now the gate or access point to open the portal to new universe and the only nation not consider alien territory. aliens takes over leaf right after the reveal of someones betrayal(could be anyone) but hokage manage to close the portal causing him either to be wounded or killed
Kawaki scene at this point can be either these two points.
(hokage is alive)kawaki is trying to take boruto back to the new universe but he wont because he either lost someone close to him from the aliens and seeks revenge(sasuke style) or is attempting a rescue mission knowing its a suicide mission.
OR
(hokage is dead) Kawaki is a traitor to the ninjas and is working for the aliens and bourto is their to save him.
well after that i think until either one dies or submit to the other, that side will win in the battle between ninjas and aliens.
i know its a lot but its pretty valid in my opinion . let me know if you didnt read this or any flaws in this Theory
