If you quote somebody you'll get those quote brackets, with the text inside it along with the BB codes. And an arrow will appear next to the name which will link you to the post.
Every post has his own number, like the quote beneath has the number "12131229"
what happens if you click on the arrow, is that you'll be linked to the thread and "#post<number>" will be written at the end of the link.

If you quote this, and press on the small arrow you'd be linked to this post ^_^

So if you want to link somebody to a post, you can go to that thread+ post number:

but if you want to link somebody to that post, you first have to press on reply with quote, then you'll have to copy the post number, and then you need to add #post<number> at the end of the link name. Shouldn't this need to be done faster?

and there's another problem. You can't do that if a thread is closed.
Let's say there's a large thread which is closed, and you want to link somebody to a specific post, you can only link that one to the page, and then he has to search for the post.

I think there should be a small icon next to this that will look like an arrow:
You must be registered for see images

so if you're scrolling in a thread, reading the post and there's a specific post somewhere in the middle you want to link somebody to that post because of something. You'll be linked immediately to that post, even tho it's closed. ((and if you have pressed on that arrow, the post will also be copied as a quote ))

exemple:
You must be registered for see images

That's a random post of me in the closed Post the first thing that comes to your mind IV thread.
it is on this thread+page:

now if I want to link somebody to that specific post, I can't
or if I want to quote it and post it on another thread because of something I can't

but If 'll press on that "future" arrow in the bottom right, I'll be immediately linked to

((and at the same time that post will be copied automatically as a quote with the text inside including the bb codes to your clipboard, so you could paste that on another thread because of some reason))

Nice suggestion.
But what if that thread has been deleted?

Hmm, very cool idea.

At first I didn't quite comprehend what you were saying, but I got it by the end *_*

Nice suggestion.
But what if that thread has been deleted?

If the thead has been deleted then it's respective list of posts normally go with it Lol

Or you can left click on the post number and open the post in a new window and simply copy past that link. Like this:

(That means if you click on the post number it will open the page with that post on top. No need to quote or to manually add the post number )

Works like an arrow. And I don't even wait for the link to open completely when I just need URL to that post . I copy it and close the window.

In last version it used to open a window with that single post only. But it doesn't work that way in the new software.

and then, what about the quoting a post that has BB codes and shizz, but the post is in a closed thread?

You cannot copy BB codes from a closed thread. If it's important ( like your own old RP thread etc) and you must have it you can ask a section mod for the favour.
