My interpretation:
Toneri apparently takes Hanabi's byakugan, probably meaning he didn't have it originally? Also Madara, Itachi Jiraiya and Neji appear as "puppets", I'm guessing they were revived with some jutsu like Edo Tensei and are forced to fight Naruto and Sasuke (I'm only assuming Sasuke will be there).

Sasuke gets shocked at seeing Itachi, but continues to fight, but is struggling because he keeps seeing flashbacks of being with him. Naruto, not having gotten closure with Jiraiya or Neji can hardly move, he's only defending. Sasuke is trying to fend off all of them while telling Naruto to snap out of it but is being overwhelmed. Kurama has no choice but to fully take control of Naruto in order to fight them, and since he's not sealed he can do so.

2) Kishi revealed that this story is about love, and has one main villain. He is a transcendent of Kayuga, so it's highly unlikely he needs help, OR will use any reanimation.

3) Why does Kurama matter at all? He's a part of Naruto, proof enough that this is fake.
