Wouldn't be very logical if technology didn't improve right? Is everyone suppose to be stuck in one time period and growing up in basically the same generation?

I don't want cars and things like that either but it wouldn't make sense if the only thing changing from gen to gen is the style of shoes and uniform they wore.
