specifically good plot, character development and most importantly, one with amazing artwork and clear, easy to see battles that are also badass. Hate it when I can't tell what's going on in a panel

NO ONE PEICE, I want something more serious with less silliness in character design.

toriko, Tokyo ghoul, hunter x hunter, attak on titan is my biggest suggestion to you. its crazy serious and crazy good fight scenes are good ones, and one piece is epic your missing out

Would recommend one piece. Story compensates for art design but its quite long and you could read many other ones by the time you catch up but if you have time I would suggest you to try it. Casting that aside here are some that I'm currently reading and great

One Punch man(amazing artwork and highly recommended), Ajin, Shokugeki no Souma, AoT, Tokyo Ghoul, Sun-ken rock(amazing artwork)

Also try some manhwa. Breaker and Breaker new waves, Feng Shen Ji, Red Storm. Prison school also has good artwork though you may not like it.
