I read the interview, and I saw nothing about a new major character. Can we get the link?

i think he means since kishi stated naruto will continue after this ark tobi isnt the finale villain and theres more to come

But I don't think it's going to be a totally new character, because Kishimoto says "will come up again", which means we have seen or heard about those characters before in the manga. My guess would be it refers to whoever "them" are, which means it's probably going to be previous hokages or sasuke's parents.

I think the characters Kishimoto refers to in his interview are likely the same characters Orochimaru and Sasuke refer to as "them". The main theories for who "them" is referring to I have seen are:

1. The scroll contains the method to summon back the Uchiha Clan and "them" are Sasuke's mother and father
2. The scroll contains the method to cheat the Death God and "them" are the previous Hokages
3. The scroll contains the method to gain Rinnegan and "them" are the sons of Rikudo Sennin

So I'd consider those characters to be the most likely ones. But alternatively I could see some other possibilities based on Orochimaru's return:

1. Kishimoto is going to shown Jiraiya and Hiruzen in Orochimaru's inevitable flashbacks and that's who he's referring to
2. Kishimoto may need some new interesting, yet powerful, Tensei for Orochimaru to summon back in his inevitable final battle with Sasuke. The prime candidates for something like this who haven't been mentioned above are previous kages who have been brought up, but not shown in combat. Here's a list of these Kages:

Edit: One might also include Sandaime Kazekage since we have only seen him in puppet form, though this is less likely imo.

I think it will be someone like Jiraya, Shodai Hokage or maybe the forth or the second... These are the most desired ones to appear... I mean, if we saw Madara isn't it quite strange we haven't seen his no. 1 rival, meaning Shodai?
