OT:Interesting.

The part about Naruto, Hinata, and Sakura being a family while Sasuke wanders. That's terrible...
Someone is so butthurt.
Tell me more about how Sasuke loved Naruto too when he jumped in and saved his life and almost died against Haku. SS had no buildup or development in Part 2 which makes everything in the end for it a retcon.
It probably was the earliest stages of the manga considering the Chunin exam bits when she first appeared in the series (unless she came ealier?). I thought you were talking about thisI am not able to find that interview as of now but in a Dec interview he said he planned on NH only after they became young adults which is Part 2 and in the first interview he said a "Fairly early" stage of the manga which may be Part 1 or since chapter 182 is still pretty early in the manga it may be Part 2
Don't got time to argue over naruto ships. Here is the main problem:There's a brotherly love between the pair, I don't deny that.
It's difficult for SS to have development when they don't live in the same village but I wouldn't say they didn't have any development in part 2. We found out that Sakura's feelings had evolved for Sasuke from a girlish crush to full-blown love. Sasuke's goes through the motions as far as his feelings for Sakura are concerned, from the start of part 2 where he seems confused as to how to react to Sakura approaching to attack him, to the middle of part 2 where he is hell-bent on severing his ties with her by killing her, to the end of part 2 where he pokes her on the forehead lovingly and promises to see her again.
At least Sakura and Sasuke made physical contact with each other (hugs, forehead pokes) throughout the manga that suggests there is mutual affection between them. That's way more than the one-sided NaruHina got and way more than we should really expect in a shonen manga where romance is not of the upmost priority. All things considered, I'd say SS has been developed quite well.
Nothing wrong with that. Lol

Though he did say in his first couple of interviews that Naruto and Hinata were picked from an early stage, so I would assume the former.
Don't got time to argue over naruto ships. Here is the main problem:
Even in universe, we all know that Sasuke's attractiveness (not just physical but on an exterior level) is not only what made her interested, but what kept her interested. That he only trying treats her like an aforethought at best only perpetuates her desperation (but that's for reasons entirely due to Sakura's own issues). We all know that Sasuke would never incite passions in her otherwise. It's not about saving him from the darkness, or seeing a troubled soul. She's still hydras angsty that Sasuke-kun isn't by her side to be the perfect boyfriend. She isn't happy or content thinking that he is somewhere finding himself and isn't lost in the past anymore. She has met plenty of sad, tormented people (Naruto, hell, even Lee) but surprisingly, she never gives any thought to Sasuke's past or his issues.
Sakura is just as creepy as Karin, depending on your point of view, even more so. Sakura has given up her best friend to be a Sasuke fangirl. Her likes, hobbies, and dreams are Sasuke. She is in a near constant state of admiration. She chastised Naruto for peeing in the bushes but said expressed interest in wanting to see Sasuke's twelve year old ****. She has stated she would willingly give up her family, all her friends, betray her village and home as a member of her country's military, and defect to a man she only has a taste of how ****ed up he really is (that also killed the Hokage) with no greater purpose than to be with him. She expressed that having both living, loving parents and multitudes of friends (some of which are literally willing to die for her) would literally be nothing in the face of his leaving, the same thing as being all alone, even. Her default emotion when thinking of Sasuke is angst, sometimes to the point of crying. Despite this, she has no happy memories of Sasuke shared between the two of them, the highlight being admiring Sasuke while he states blankly into the distance, his ****ing back, and him saying thank you. Come to think of it, the single nicest thing Sasuke has ever said to Sakura is thank you, he has never said anything or made her actually feel good about herself otherwise. She remains just as clingy and needy as ever, even in the face of severe mistreatment.
She even seems to grow used to it, though it does nothing to build up a thicker skin and she still can't stand up for herself or for others about anything he does. Despite all of this, she can't give any insight, depth, or even rudimentary reasons or things she likes about him beyond the surface. She can only go on about how she loves him and wants him to be with her, even in the face of him spouting his issues (or threatening to murder her sensei or friend who has been here for her). Who immediately comes hopping back on his **** even in the face of him mentally torturing you. Who is still willing to abandon her family, friends, and her damn career to come pal around with him on his journey of redemption and self discovery with no greater purpose than to be with him. She stays in a perpetual state of holding on to ****ing nothing for over half her life. She has such little regard for being treated like an afterthought, that she's cool with him being gone for such long periods of time doing nothing, even though they have a child, because Sasuke-kun's anything is enough.
Like, imagine guys, if in elementary school this girl dropped all her friends to squeal over you. She states that you are her likes, hobbies, and dreams. That all her family and friends are nothing in the wake of not being with you. She clings to the nicest thing you ever said to her for over half her life. You treat her like an afterthought at best and irrelevant trash at worst and she desperately stays infatuated, not even bringing up the issues. She occasionally goes on about how much she loves you and wants you to even with her, even though you're not close and you barely really know each other. She has nothing intelligent or substantial to say about you, yet her behavior remains unchanged even into womanhood. She's fine with you doing whatever you want whenever you want, even if it involves neglecting your child.
Man, imagine how the script would flip if Sakura were a boy and Sasuke were a female . It would spark outrage across the land as being the very essence of rape culture misogyny. Imagine Kakashi telling female Sasuke "he's so kind, you only need a reason not to love somebody!". Or Sakura telling female Sasuke that I can give you happpiness. Or Naruto promising male Sakura to bring female Sasuke back to him. Good thing Sakura is a self insertable female and thus her creepy and obsessive behavior is overlooked and we can push her feelings onto Sasuke because he's a male. Because Sasusaku is the true girl power ship
Get out of here Karin fan.
We might both be Sasuke fans but Karin > Queen Sakura

Here he says he decided on them being together after they became young adults and some translator had said the young adults part means 14-15ish range.I will try to find the exact translation once I find my thread
Before this one there was another interview where he said fairly early stages but thats up to intrepretation as Yamato said earlier in the thread because he never gave a exact response
Is that in the latest interview or that an old one?
Its the movie one from Dec
The one in which kishi felt bad for Hinata and thats why rooted for NH huh :|
Found it:Its the movie one from Dec
Found it:
Q: I was surprised that the movie this time painted Naruto and Hinata’s love story.
• In my head, I had decided Naruto and Hinata to get together a bit after they became young adults.
• However, I wanted to circle back to the first chapter (of the series) by making Naruto have a son who graffities on the (now) Hokage Naruto’s rock face.
• So the idea of a [NH] love story wasn’t my idea at the start, however Pierrot staff suggested the movie to revolve around it (hence the final product being the way it is).
• The reason why the movie is set 2 years after the main story is because I wanted [T/N: more like fussed over] the two being in a romance only if they were above 18 (laughs)
Q: Why did you decide to make Naruto end up with Hinata?
• Because Hinata’s the sole person who clearly watched and supported Naruto’s diligence from the beginning.
• Even though things don’t go well, he continues to work hard and not give up – she understands that this is what makes him cool
• Sakura also notices this aspect to Naruto midway too, but I felt it pitiful if I don’t reward Hinata who watched him from the start (laughs ).

Ambiguous. He says that it was created in the early stages in the manga but then he says young adults, but my guess is in his mind, they just would meet in a relationship when they were young adults, which is precisely the time that goes in the Last.Yeah thats the one.I remember that first part was the one which caused the most uproar. The translators were asked what "young adults" meant

I still find it funny that this man loves to talk about his pairing yet he gave them no development what's-so-ever.
Dat Kishi
Weird in how they both developed in their own way since the beginning. The second line just seems strange, though he did state he does not liking writing romance at all and it makes him 'nervous'? I'll just go with the idea of him planning them early on, otherwise they would have never been made in the first place. No he wanted them to be together after they became 18(which sounds silly considering the n*dity in the series)
The first line tells us when he planned it which is young adults which is the 14-15 age translators had said
The first interview before this though said "fairly early" stages so its just subject to how you view it
This is absolutely hilarious. Pairing fans whooping and hollering about this notion that SS came first while completely ignoring the second part of the excerpt. The voice actors who play Sakura and Sasuke, self admitted fans of the pairing, completely shit on the relationship saying Sakura is family with Naruto and Hinata, Sasuke doesn't have a place in it and that Sarada says Shannaro because he's always gone. Holy ****ing shit, talk about selective reading.
