I believe that hagoromo killed and absorbed hamura and here's why. I remember a while back it was stated that the sage of six paths created the moon on his death bed this was the first theory stated in naruto- I can't remember who said it though. Now we all know you need a combination of senju/uzumaki and uchiha chakra to activate the rinnegan techniques or the sun and moon marks. Another thing I'm thinking is that hamura and hagoromo were fighting about the most effective way to peace, hagoromo wanted peace through ninshu and hamura wanted peace through ninjutsu. So maybe they fought and hagoromo killed hamura then absorbed his power so that he would be the perfect god to lead his people to peace. I think his conversation with naruto proves this because when naruto stated that hagoromo was the god who used ninjutsu to bring peace hagoromo sounded as if he was angry and said no I am not I used ninshu or something like that. Anyway this would explain how he has both seals so.
Possible ending he'll ask naruto and sasuke how will they bring about peace and he won't like their answer so he tries to kill them. Or hamura will be the last villain. My reason for this is, in fact this is where I based this entire theory from, Kishi wanted to trick us by making us compare naruto and sasuke to hagoromo and hamura when it's actually hashirama and madara that who are more similar to hagoromo and hamura. If you think about it they are exactly the same but in different circumstances. Hashirama and madara stopped a great evil together( war) and hagoromo and hamura stopped a great evil together, kaguya. They both had different ideas of how peace should be attained. Hashirama and hagoromo both attained the tailed beasts and then split them up. Now here is where the theories are: hamura stole some of hagoromo's DNA and injected his self with it making him like a kaguya X2 just like madara( could also explain his disappearance).
Btw, if hagoromo didn't use ninjutsu what did he use to fight against kaguya before the sealing?
