New generation vs Old generation

Time after time in both the anime and manga, we come across phrases from the older shinobi say the new and younger shinobi will surpass the old. how far has this gotten too cos in my opinion, its not looking likely.

First of all, i'm yet to see a great medical ninja that'll surpass grandma Chiyo and Tsunade. Sakura is good but not their standard yet

Secondly, i'll like to see a young shinobi good at teleporting like the 2nd, 4th and Hanzuo.

Thirdly, will want to see a shinobi with extremely powerful jutsu. looking at the current war in the manga, most of the resurrected shinobi look extremely dangerous and must be taken on in groups.

I don't think there are shinobi as strong with the sword as the 7SM. The current Kages are strong but not as strong as the previous ones. only time will tell. but it'll take time before the young shinobi surpass the old. the old were just class and legendary. how many new shinobi have come out with their own techniques? the badass ones they know are mostly passed down from the older.

as times pass, there is less and less of things that can be discovered so it is quite understandable that only a few could find something new.
but hey sasuke's chidori styles and naruto's rasenshuriken are new...

When they are talking about new generation surpassing the old one, they mostly refer to the guys in Naruto's age group. And consider what they can do and at what age... Back in the days, 16 year old kids didn't end up being kage. Talking about the legendary sannins, they are 50-60 years old while our heroes are around 16-18. So they have time to get better, and develop their own jutsu.

i think they meant emotionally, remember every generation so far has had war.

The New Generation and Old Generation are both boss as shit.
It all depends on the drive of the New Generation which will define if they surpassed the Old Generation.
Ninja like Naruto,Lee,Neji,Hinata have alot of drive and determination so its no doubt to me that they will surpass there Sensei/Parents.

The Old Generation is nice as shit as well with shinobi like the Gin-Kin Brothers,1-5 Hokages,Leagendary Sannin,Sakumo Hatake,all former Kage,Madara,Kakuzu,and SO6P's are all very powerful shinobi of the past and it will take alot of hard work and training for the New Generation to surpass them.

But the advantages that the New Generation has over the Old Generation is there youth, time, techniques passed down for them to further, and willingness to learn.
