For those of you who managed to catch the news, Boruto was announced as a upcoming manga in the coming year along with a short-anime about Itachi Uchiha. This new manga marks the entry into a new generation, not only for the characters in the story of Naruto and now Boruto, but also us fans out here. We are fans who have stood by Kishimoto over the years, mixed with a few new ones here and there. Some are staying, some are leaving and some are in the gray zone right now. But it is important for us "veterans" to remember one thing and that is that with this new generation and new story, it will undoubtedly bring new fans and most likely a completely new generation of fans to the table. We've become the "dying leaves" in some sense, and if you ask me then this is one of the most interesting parts about this new manga. New faces, new ideas and new angles to view the series from. So lets greet them in a good way, shall we? Now that is said, I have a single extra question to ask you all. With this new generation, what exactly are you looking for? What exactly are you looking forward to and what do you hope doesn't repeat itself from the previous generation?

OT: Only thing that is worth reading in a manga with such simple characters is shinki(the sunagakure team in general) and himawari(first time seeing someone awakening byakugan).

That and the death of naruto, if it were to ever happen that is...

I want part 1 level fights where we see tactical battles with,dare I say, strategy.less explosions and more clever jutsus that aren't OP. And protagonists that don't just level up whenever like a video game

I hope they start a new like take god tier shinobi out of the question. By this I mean leave the Naruto/Sasuke as support charater's and focus on the development and upbringing of this new gen.

This statement I disagree with it. While yes the battles of Naruto became more about who had the most power and most deadly abilities, they were by no means "mindless". Infact they were the opposite of that. (Naruto was always a series focused on words rather than fighting, even in the starting stages.)

No they became mindless, even the words became mindless repetition.

The fights themselves where mostly mindless, excluding Shikamaru's fights that used actual tactics that made sense. Though each new character (excluding Madara and Kaguya) brought a new point of view to something. Which was the main focus of Naruto's fights from the start of the series. (Or at least I hope it was, as it was the only memorable thing about it).

Honestly this new look does not work on her since she is a puncher. Majority of the times you will see her go on her knees to do a high jump to land a punch with high velocity. Her butt will be in the air for the birds to see as her fist will grovel down the opponents face.

In all I am waiting to see what becomes of all the shin clones, will they be key in a plot to rule the world or become useful in aiding our new young heroes.

This has been said by a lot of people, but I also want something a lot like part one, and all the ninja god like moves to not be a factor. I would love to see all the new Genin compete in a new Chunin exams. Something only to be remembered by the older generations, and not to be taught to the younger gens to retain peace or something like this. I'd love to see what happens to Naruto and Sasuke, and how they act in this new generation. Especially if they die, and how the people in their universe will react and what villains may emerge new or old. I'm trying not to get really hyped for it though, because what are the chances .-.

The greatest about naruto was the secret of everything you have to reveal step by step watching every manga or episode. Thats hard now because we know everything about the Naruto universe. It would be great to show up some new evil enemies, a new plot or even something bigger that not even Sasuke or Naruto together can handle in a fight. Some good old stuff that lasts for a while and let us first hour naruto fans still shake or think about it a lil bit

This manga is gonna be so weird for me especially bc its in the naruto universe e.e and we wont see sasuke,naruto,sakura and other characters that much...yeah.

I hope kishi will make us feel their emotions etc in this new manga :/

Hoping that all get developed and lots of screen time.

I hope they bring back old references abilities.

Examples:

Sasori stated to have 298 special human puppets only we witness only 1. Someone in the story, or a group of people, could find some and shows them off.

Another one would be Kakuzu's Earth Grudge Fear is recreated. Since his death, Earth Grudge finds a new host. It can show off the only "Mask" ability Kakuzu never got the chance to reveal (the one Kakashi took out).

Show off KKG abilities that barley had screen time. Like Pakura's KKG.

Expand new KKG abilities.

Show off and concentrate on the small villages. Like Grass village.

Expand the lands Naruto-Verse never discovered. If Naruto and Sasuke need screen time and challenges, this will be a good excuse to provide characters from other side of the country being crazy powerful?
