New Gaming PC

Hello Guys!!

I plan on buying a New Gaming PC and my friend suggested a custom build with these specs.. I just wanna know if they are compatible with each other and is good for gaming.. I am not of a gamer but I need it for med - high gaming in all the latest games...

SAPPHIRE R9 270x
Kingston HyperX 2x4Gb
Seasonic S12II 520w
CM elite 430 Cabinet
Seagate barracuda 1tb sata3
Dell IN2030 20 Inch Monitor

Not bad. Tho, you have an intel chip so I'd get a hyper 212 evo instead of using the stock cooler.
Also, for gaming I'd go the AMD rout and spend the extra money on a better gpu/cooler then overclock the CPU to meet or come very close to the performence of the CPU I was going to originally get. But that's just some extreme penny pinching tips.

I checked the Internet about the gaming performances and I got these...

Battlefield 3 Ultra Settings - 84.3 FPS

Battlefield 4 Ultra Settings - 60+ FPS

Btw, if your friend recommended the Seasonic, he knows what he's doing. They make top quality PSU's and unfortunately not a lot new PC builders know to get them.

It's stupid to get a aftermarket cooler if you're not overclocking. That processor isn't really overclockable since it's not a K series.

Not stupid, Intel CPU's can get very hot and depending on his location that could increase to temps that could damage his socket. Intel chips are made to be able to run hotter yes, but socket temps are still a threat. Also an after market cooler like a 212 evo is just $30 and will extend the CPU's life. Stock cooling uses cheap thermal paste as well that doesn't last that long before you notice a decent temp increase.

I like AMD and Intel. Tho to be honest, I like any CPU that's cheap and gives more performance for it's cost. Intel will beat AMD in performance but AMD beats intel in the price to performance ratio. In other words, you can buy a $250 intel cpu which will play for example, Crysis 3 in 60FPS or get a $130 amd cpu that you can then overclock to get nearly the same performance, let's say, around 55 fps. Then it comes down to if 5fps is worth the money you could save. To some yes to others no.

If I were to get a new PC, I'd buy one
