Hello, please let me have a look at your biography and tell me if this is your first training overall. If so, I'd like to check your general knowledge before even being able to continue teaching you anything about water.

a ninja is someone that can perform jutsu just by manipulating their Chakra and making hand signs.ninjas also use weapons or genjutsu or Tai.
Ninjutsu, is a term referring to almost any technique which allows the user to do something that they otherwise would be incapable of doing, including the usage of weapons. Unlike genjutsu, which makes the opponent see illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are real. They vary greatly in purpose, with the simpler ninjutsu serving such tasks as transforming the user or allowing them to evade attacks. These techniques are often second-nature for experienced shinobi, who can use them at will. More complex ninjutsu manipulate one's surroundings or utilise the elements, respectively serving such tasks as healing others or manipulating nature transformations.Ninjutsu, most of the time, relies on chakra and hand seals to be effective.
chakra essential to even the most basic technique; it is the moulding of thephysical energy present in every cell of the body and the spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience. Once moulded, it can be channelled through the chakra circulatory system, which is to chakra as the regular circulatory system is to blood, to any of the 361 chakra points (called.tenketsu) in the body. Through various methods, the most common of which ishand seals, the chakra can then be controlled and manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire or creating illusions.

Yeah, I can use wikipedia too. I wanted to tell me your own opinions using your own words and not some generic stuff from another website. This doesn't show the real knowledge that you have. Anyway, I guess I won't be able to take your word for, anymore.

Ninja

A ninja is someone who uses their full abilities in the service of his/hers beliefs, working to achieve a goal. This goal can be anything from peace to war, money, destruction, personal griefs or even revenge and can be shared with others or individual. Most ninjas are fighters and correspond to the bulk of the military force of the great nations. However, a ninja doesn't need to be a fighter. Even medics or a simple carpenter may, in times of need, use his abilities (medical knowledge or abilities in working with wood for example) to accomplish the goals he set to himself, following his beliefs.

Chakra

Chakra is the energy that is formed through the passive combination of both the Physical and the Spiritual energies in a sentient being (every living being with a conscious mind has chakra). Physical energy corresponds to the vitality of the body and its own energy. Spiritual energy corresponds to the mind or spirit, and comes from the awareness and "soul" of each sentient being.

Some ninjas have high levels of chakra because they have great physical energy (like the Akimichi or even Tsunade) and others because of their spiritual energy (like the Uchiha and the Yamanaka). However, its much more difficult to increase the spiritual energy than the physical one, thus why all ninjas pass through intensive physical workout.

Yin and Yang are based on this same concept. Yin is the basis of the spirit while Yang the basis of the body. In this i won't go into more dept because there are 2 things to consider: Yin/Yang manipulation in our RP is different from the manga one and both are more or less inacessible.

Chakra flows in a circulatory system inside your body, in a way that much resembles the blood circulation. This circulatory system has 8 small reservoirs that act as both storage but also chakra regulation. These are the eight inner gates. Along your circulatory system, small "portals" exist that enable you to expell chakra from your body. These are called Tenketsu and there are 361 of them scattered allong the body. When a tenketsu opens, chakra poors out of it. Its by molding the chakra that comes out of the tenketsu that you produce ninjutsu and genjutsu.

Ninjutsu

Ninjutsu, or Ninja Arts, is the ability to, through the use of chakra, accomplish tasks that would be otherwise impossible to do. Ninjutsu are done by 2 stepts: focusing your chakra and molding your chakra. Focusing is using your will power to "will" a portion of your chakra to do something. On the other hand, molding is giving your chakra a set of characteristics that will enable you to produce the desired end effect.

Think of the chakra flow as our breathing. Normally, it happens passively, without any conscious intervention. However, when you need to you can use your will to control it. Its the same with your chakra flow. Its happens normally without your consicious intervention. However, you can focus your chakra and make it produce something.

Now, molding the chakra is done by two basic principles: Shape Manipulation and Nature Transformation. These correspond to the two broad areas that one needs to change in the chakra to produce a jutsu. Shape manipulation pertains to the ability to give your chakra a desired form while Nature transformation pertains to the ability to give your chakra a desired set of characteristics/properties. Sometimes, to better mold chakra, ninja use Handseals. Handseals are simply hand gestures that allow the ninja to more easily concentrate and mold the chakra into the desired technique.

-

Now, let's try this again. Using your own words please tell me everything you know about the elements. Their names, their relations, anything you find of relevance. And also let me warn you, you're not here to just get the jutsu so you can use them (wrongly most likely) but to also learn how, why and when to use them. So please behave from now on and follow my instructions so we can both have a fun and entertaining training session. :)

I'm much happier. :) See, this allows me to see how you think and to correct your mistakes. Now, water isn't weak against lightning. It's actually weak against earth and here's a few paragraphs about the elements themselves and their relations using a few words of my own. As you already said there are basic 5 elements and they can be arranged into a circle, corresponding to their strengths and weaknesses. Those elements are Water > Fire > Wind > Lightning > Earth. Each of these is a natural occurrence in our world and through intensive studying and practicing we became able to manipulate and even create them. In the manga and anime you see regular ninja with one or two elements as their main traits but for the purpose of our RP, it's allowed to have all five. Each element has it's own characteristics and there are strong facts as to why some elements are stronger/weaker than other.

Fire is a dangerous element, capable of burning stuff in the matter of seconds. It's a very violent element because of its destructive power. It's main trait is heat, which is the cause to melting and incineration. It's important for you to notice that fire requires oxygen to burn. Since oxygen is a part of the air we breathe, no air would mean no oxygen. The counterpart would be more air resulting in more oxygen and a stronger fire. However, there are a few scenarios for this and I believe your teacher will explain these to you in your training. It's weak to water because it's easily extinguished but it's strong against wind because it "eats" the air and the oxygen. It's neutral against lightning and since none are solids they pass through each other. Fire with earth is a good combination because it can harden mud or turn regular earth into lava.

Wind is the most versatile element in our universe because it's everywhere around us. Again, air is not a solid but using our chakra we can condense it into sharp projectiles, blades and such. One of its components is oxygen which makes the fire burn. The interesting thing here is the amount of wind (air) you put up to the fire. With a small amount you make the fire burn stronger and spread faster while with a huge amount of air you will put the fire out. Because it contains oxygen it is, unfortunately, weak to fire while being a natural insulator it's strong against lightning, capable of dispersing it and preventing its spreading. As mentioned it's a good combination with water because, for example, it gives a water projectile more thrust power and it speeds it up. This is also applicable to various ninja tools, so keep that in mind. Regarding earth, they're neutral but there can be some interesting usages. For example, picking up dust from the ground, small rocks or even making giants patches of earth float above the ground, and such.

Lightning is, again, a very violent and sharp element, capable of paralyzing and burning our opponents. It is considered to be the fastest of the basic elements. It's generated by its molecules being forced to move at a great velocity which causes it to be unstable to a degree. Lightning is weak against wind, as I already said, because wind is a natural insulator while it's very strong against earth, being capable of destroying it and crumbling into pieces. It's a very good combination with water because it electrocutes it, while it's neutral to fire because of reasons I already mentioned.

Earth is once again a versatile element because we walk on it. Mostly everywhere you walk, you will be able to use earth techniques, which gives a great advantage against water users when battling without nearby water sources. It is a solid element with great crushing and piercing characteristics. It has a tremendous amount of applications thus why it has the most techniques. It's projectiles possess a great force because of their mass and it's proportional to the increase of acceleration. It's simple logic. The faster you throw a rock the more it will hurt, lol. Earths' main weakness is lightning as mentioned above, while it's strong against water because it can split water waves, redirect them, push them back, etc. Mass is the key. It's a great combination with fire because, as mentioned, it turns it into lava or in case you have mud, it hardens it. And as I already said, it has it's unique applications in conjunction with wind.

Now to the element of choice for this training session. Water is a liquid element and can be found anywhere in our world. I won't go into specific numbers but you're aware that a lot of stuff is made of water or has water in it. This makes it a very versatile element, the second most versatile actually. Water is strong against fire because of its extinguishing power, but it's weak against earth because it can't break it down and it only makes it wet. Note however that in some cases water turns earth to mud which can be useful but also a double egde. Regarding the other two elements, water is very good in combination with both. Lightning electrocutes the water while wind gives it more force and makes it generally stronger.

Any questions?

Nope i now understand
Okay then. Let's now focus solely on water and leave everything else behind. Even with everything I said, there is still so much about water that makes it what it is: a versatile and smart element. The main thing with water is understanding how it acts on its own accord, water will not merely cease to exist once a technique is over and it has a lasting effect on the terrain, regardless of where you are fighting. This is something that must be used to your advantage. One of the only situations where water will leave the battlefield is when it's evaporated by a much stronger fire technique. Other than that, it will always scatter around and lose its form and purpose but that doesn't mean you can't re-use it as a water source.

Another interesting thing about water is the ability to actually fight all elements without simply overpowering them. The way it moves and its liquid form must all be taken into account when using it. Although water is naturally weak to earth, it doesn't mean that a water technique can't be used against earth regardless of rank. For example, if the opponent uses a wave of earth and dirt that comes at you, you can use spit great amounts of water at high pressure to act as a lift off in order to raise yourself out of the trajectory of the earth. Regardless of the rank, you didn't use the water to overpower or even fight the earth technique. You simply used it to alter your position. That is another way in which the lasting effects of water will benefit you. Water techniques continue to work through the area around you whilst you build your next techniques, as long as there is water there is a danger and a sense of unknowing in the opponent.

Let's start with something simple but something that a lot of people pass on learning, understanding how water effects different terrain.

I'd like you to state the terrain/environmental factors in each of the five major nations (sunagakure, konohagakure, kirigakure, kumogakure and iwagakure), not just the surface of the ground, but the air around you as well. Then I'd like you to state how Water effects each of the landscapes.

Sunakagure- has no water source not even in the atmospher because of the harsh temperature
iwagakure-i think it has a little water source
konoha-since it is in the forest has more water sources than the other villages i mentioned earlier
kirigakure-since it is hidden in mist, the mist is less moisturised water in the atmosphere and it doesn help the land scape cause of the mist blocking people's view
kumogakure-also known as hidden cloud has water sources, the village also contain water in the atmosphere in form of fog, which also does the same thing as mist.

That's right. Due to the high temperatures and the deserts, it is a very arid place. So it will be harder to materialize water out of nowhere. However, due to the huge amount of sand it can be useful in a combination with your water attacks. Water jutsu in this terrain form wet sand; a heavy and relatively dense substance than can be used in conjunction with your earth jutsu. Explain your moves right and you can have earth jutsu which blind your opponent as the wet sand not only inflicts blunt damage but it breaks up on impact and can affect other senses. When sand is infused with water whilst in the air, the water becomes thicker and more damaging, the water also spreads the sand on impact again look to aim for the opponents senses.

True, there's not much water sources because it's a barren rocky landscape. Regarding that, it's similar to Sunagakure but the main difference is that the water won't drain so quickly. If the rocks are not vaporous then the water will always stay on the surface in the forms of puddles which you can then further use to your advantage. Remember also, rocks are loose pieces of the environment and can be picked up by water techniques to cut and pierce, thus adding damage to what would normally merely be blunt. In this same vein, water can carry Kunai, essentially hiding them inside streams as you spit.

Konoha and Kumogakure are somewhat similar. Konoha is mainly a huge forest while Kumogakure has forests but it revolves mostly on mountains. The water in these areas seeps into the earth and sets the grass and dirt, forming mud. Mud is usually slippery and can assist you against certain people extremely well. Water possesses an often over looked level of brute strength, a large amount of water can easily knock over and drag along a human being, flood/ tidal waves are actually the most catastrophic of the commonly occurring natural disasters. You can use this strength to push your opponent against trees or into traps that you laid earlier.

Kirigakure (and Amegakure) are mostly on water. Kirigakure is a complex of islands scattered around a huge sea while Amegakure is surrounded by lakes. Also, the heavy rain can also assist you here. Kirigakure being sea, obviously this gives you means to use your most powerful water techniques instantly as you have an already developed water source. Something that people tend to forget about water however is that although they don't all require a water source, they can all use one. There are a few techniques which state that the user begins by creating a water source, if you have a water source already, you can skip through this part of the technique, allowing youth utilise the jutsu quicker, starting from the second stage of the technique. Even if water jutsu don't state this, they will always happen quicker if used from a source. Questions?

No questions sensei
Hrmm, well ok then. I'm pretty sure that was quite a lot of information right there and I hope that you can put it to good use now. I'm sure you remember Naturo's training when he was awakening the wind nature. He was focusing on his flow and chakra and the tried to think of the properties of the desired element so he could turn his regular chakra into that element's corresponding chakra. Then he channeled the chakra into his palms in between which he held a chakra paper. Depending on the nature of the chakra the paper would react to it. It would burn and turn to ash when in contact with fire. It would split in half if in contact with wind. It would turn wet if in contact with water. It would crumble if it was earth and it would be shredded if it was lightning. Using everything we did so far in the training, please try to awaken your water chakra and try to make the chakra paper wet.

Hands you a piece of chakra paper.

Oh, come on. That's not cool. You don't focus your suiton chakra because you don't have it yet. There's a process to actually "unlock" it first. I will not let you slip through with such explanations. I want you to concentrate and focus. I'm not giving you jutsu if I don't get something in return and what I ask from you are nice and elaborate explanations of what you're feeling, your movements, actions, breathing, thinking, everything.

Shino drops the paper and he walks over to a nearby lake, and he goes in the water, neck deep. He then close his eyes and he relax his body and he start to focus on his breathing. He starts to think of the characteristics of water, all of its properties. As he begins doing this,he begin to feel as if the water and him are one with each other. He feels the freeness of the water as it flows and envelops his body, he feels stable. He feels somewhat connected with the water, his chakra and water seem to bond, and he feel as if he can convert his chakra to water.
Lastly, he felt as if he can reshape the water to his will.then he comes out of the water and drys himself off, then he picks the paper he carefully place the chakra paper between his palms and he sits down and start to relax and close his eyes. He start to slowly channel some chakra through his hands to his palms.
10 seconds passed, then 20, and he started adding more chakra and all of a sudden, the paper became dampened. He hand its over to sensei

You really don't want to co-operate do you?

How's that?
*I step out of the water and stand in the open field, drying my skin for hours in the wind. Then after I'm finished drying myself, I realize I had a towel all along, and I hit myself with a rock. I carefully place the chakra paper between my palms and I sit down and start to relax and close my eyes. I start to slowly channel some chakra through my hands to my palms.
