Now water seems legit but I dont think ice can do any real damage. If it was a fire rasengan there would no longer be a target just a pile of ash.

The resengan is just chakra adding fire just makes it a fire ball justu making it impractical to handle.
Water added to chakra makes it a water ball and earth is solid so that wouldn't work.
Adding lightning makes it a chidori or lightning blade.


Wind is the only practical element to add to the chakra of the resengan it increases the rotation speed and cutting power.No other element offers any type of incentives that even come close to adding the wind nature

Scorch isn't natural element so i didn't include that in my post but,yeah that would work.
Having it expand or explode at the last second would make deflecting moot and it would also expand the radius of the blast to some degree. + rep
