New Dragon Ball Z series To Return After 18 years

In case people aren't aware IGN officially announced that after 18 years, beloved Dragonball anime series is making its way back to television. According to IGN the series will pick up after the Majin Buu Saga, which means this will most likely undo the event of the GT timeline. (which we all know wasn't cannon)

The series will pick up after the revival of F movie.

So events after revival of F movie? I read it was suppose to take place after the Majin Buu arc. Did the revival of F happen after Majin Buu? I can't remember. Nor do I recall seeing this particular movie.

Both movies (Battle of Gods and Revival of F) are after the Buu Saga, yet BEFORE the 28th world martial arts tournament. This new series "Dragon Ball Super" is after the Buu Saga too, but if the "Revival of F" has the "Z" attached to it, that might mean that the events of the new series are after the two movies.
