New anime? Any recomendations?

I know this is off topic and i didn't know where else to post this so i'll just ask the question xD
I need a new anime to watch, does any of you have any recomendations? A friend of mine recomended death note. Haven't watched it yet, is it good? Anything else? XD

death note is good indeed. for long ongoing anime's I prefer OP and Bleach.

Death Note is indeed very good, but I'd also recommend Bleach or Fairy Tail. But FT is being cancelled soon though...

Fullmetal Alchemist(not brotherhood)

Usually AdultSwim would introduce me to other animes but Im not sure of them anymore

Thanks a lot guys. I don't want to watch fairy tale since the anime is being canceled xD already watched all OP episodes (up to date) noted all the ones you guys wrote xD thanks a lot! I think i'll start with death note since its the shortest one ;D
