New Akatsuki

In these recent chapters we see mentions of Orochimaru, the Akatsuki, and Itachi. Imo Kishi's method of prolonging the series by having mystery characters seems a little stale. My prediction is that the mystery char is Shisui only because of the stitched together eye, short character development plus potential, and love for Itachi. Even though Sasuke's actions maybe justified, a so called dead person at the time maybe ignorant to that. Sort of the same way Obito was the mystery char. It doesn't seem too far fetched that Orochimaru used a similar technique to Madara's.

In the end it's up to the author to pull the strings. But with the amount of new characters and old characters co existing, the connections are fairly easy to see. I've noticed a lot of people on the forums don't want Shisui to be the new antagonist.

Whether it is or isn't Shisui we know Itachi is going to be involved in this somehow since Sarada is her uncle's legacy.

I feel Kishi will pull the troll as done before. In your thread, you stated about Shisui "Both of his eyes were extracted and destroyed at some point. Even if he were revived, he would be eye-less and would no longer possess any manipulation powers the KA granted him."
I stated "It doesn't seem too far fetched that Orochimaru used a similar technique to Madara's." If Obito can posses the Rinnegan, It doesn't seem to far fetched that a revived Shisui can posses an other Sharigan.

Yah, he can possess another sharingan after being revived through Oro's reincarnation technique, that is not impossible. However, even if he were to possess another sharingan, he would not be able to have the same manipulation powers as he did with his original sharingan because (a) it's not his original sharingan and (b) the new sharingan he would be possessing would not be MS. I said this before, the reason why people think it's Shisui is because it's convenient to think that as he was the only other person except Sasuke who had a close connection with Itachi. :hmm:
