Alright, here's what I think about the new Akatsuki leader.
We haven't seen anything but one panel of him. That's it, just one panel. So, he or she could be anyone, or a completely new character. What can be surmised from the panel, however, is that the character's face must be concealed, and thus it's a secret... a character we've seen before in past chapters. This could be anyone, but let's narrow it down a bit. It's someone who cares about the Uchiha, someone who believes Sasuke to be an embarrassment to the Uchiha clan, and someone with leadership skills and prior knowledge of Akatsuki.
Thus, we can come up with a few theories... here are the popular ones:
1. Madara revived.
2. Orochimaru.
3. Shisui.
4. A clone of Sasuke.
5. Indra.
Personally, I find that the most interesting of these would be Indra. He's a character we know little about, one who would have distinct reason for being disappointed in Sasuke, and one who, being considered a prodigy, would have enough manipulative talent to control this blond Uchiha, who many believe to be Itachi's son. Furthermore, if Indra still lives through some means, he would undoubtedly had heard of Akatsuki. The only problem in the theory is that Indra has been reincarnated twice now, making it almost certain that he's dead. The only solution is... Edo Tensei, perhaps? A Rinnegan jutsu? Who knows. I'm betting on Indra, though, or Vince McMahon.
