Never seen Orochimaru at full power

Now that i notice it, it's possible that we'd never seen Orochimaru at full power. His main power is ninjutsu and when you know he didn't had his ninjutsu at all thanks to Sarutobi and his Shiki fujin who said himself before dying "i'm going to steal the thing you like the most, all your ninjutsu, you won't be able to use it anymore"

So basically it's thanks to Sarutobi that Orochimaru was never seen at full power. And even not at full power he managed to fight Naruto in 4tails equally. Even sick on his bed without all his ninjutsu Sasuke had difficulties to beat him and he didn't even beat him completly

Now i'm not sure about how Orochimaru could achieve his full power but if he manages it, i think he would be really overpowered

I know now why he was so feared even by kages

I think we all underrestimated him, but he isnt on Naruto/Madara/Tobi etc's level

We saw him perfectly healthy during his fight with Hiruzen and to be honest he wasn't that impressive. He's powerful, but I wouldn't put him near the level of people like Naruto/Nagato/Tobi/Sasuke/Madara/Itachi/Hashirama and etc.

We saw him perfectly healthy during his fight with Hiruzen and to be honest he wasn't that impressive. He's powerful, but I wouldn't put him near the level of people like Naruto/Nagato/Tobi/Sasuke/Madara/Itachi/Hashirama and etc.

Tbh against Hiruzen he wasn't fighting at all from what i've seen. He only controlled Hashirama and Nidaime during that fight, but himself was only behind them and never tried to be involved seriously. Like Sasuke said in this chapter, i think you underestimate Orochimaru

So tired of people taking that wack ass fight between Oro and Hiruzen seriously. There's no way the scaling then even remotely fits now, there's no way as hyped as Hashirama is and what not that the fight that took place that long ago can be considered any of them at their full power.

He actually fought head on with Hiruzen a few times in that fight. Either way Orochimaru's indeed pretty powerful, but other shinobi have far surpassed him by now.

He's really not much of a relevant threat considering you have others who're much more powerful in Tobi and Madara and even Sasuke who's above him, but I wouldn't say he's far above him like Tobi and Madara are.

i know how bad ass he was been saying he would be back and be the new big bad when everyone else is dead or sealed but if he brings back the sages sons like some say he is then it is a wrap i think those two couls do as they please in edo as madara did ...this manga is going to get either really good or really dumb really quick

Even with his arms I don't see Orochimaru being more powerful than Sasuke.

He wanted to fight with him again, which is the reason he didn't kill him, not because he didn't take it seriously. As soon as Hiruzen summoned Enma Orochimaru got serious because hence why he wanted Hashirama and Tobirama to stop him from transforming. Hiruzen bested a healthy Orochimaru in the direct fight they had.

Orochimaru even when healthy just isn't a relevant threat considering the ninja world has much bigger threats to deal with.

No, he actually did fight Hiruzen 1 on 1 and Hiruzen bested him. He disarmed him of his sword and was able to grab him and thus seal his arms.
