Having parents and losing them is worse. The reason being that it can psychologically traumatize you, which can affect other things. When a person has no parents chances are they'd be more sane. xP
for those who think sasuke's situation is worse, think about this. while sasuke was at his home having dinner with his family, naruto was home by himself eating ramen. tell me he wasn't missing a mom and dad then. while sasuke trained with itachi in the woods, naruto sat on a swing and watched other people play or be with their families. sasuke losing his family just gave him a taste of what naruto went through his whole life.

No....there's a big difference. It's been even shown in the series that the pain of losing someone is worse than never having any. Proof of this, was at the valley of the end where Naruto admitted that he didn't know his pain and wasn't arguing that his scenario was worse. As for Sasuke was claiming his was worse and Naruto was trying to sympathize.
is it better to have loved and lost or to have never loved at all? Clearly, loving and losing is better because at least you knew that love. To never have parents would be the worse thing esp in naruto's situation because he was shunned by the entire village too. A child needs parents even if only for a lil while. Imagine growing up never knowing the feeling of having someone who unconditionally loves you and supports you.

How you turn out after you lose your parents is your decision but to be deprived of that decision altogether is a real loss.

You're forgetting about the conditions which comes with actually having lost that love. How you turn out isn't your decision,It's what you choose to do afterwards which is your decision. By example, a person could possibly not be able to sleep normally afterwards and have nightmares, etc...and that isn't really their fault and they can't do anything about it. Once knowing love makes losing it painful. I would prefer to feel bad and never feel love than actually having memories of the past which makes you feel even worse than the previous scenario. So, losing parents > never having any.
Imagine growing up never knowing the feeling of having someone who unconditionally loves you and supports you.
Not having parents doesn't mean you'll never have someone who loves you and supports you.

sweet lord what happened here while i was banned?

anyway i wanted to tell my reason why i think having no parents is worse then seeing them die but i was banned

u see i believe in an afterlife so even if they died its not like u will ever see them again

i am mexican amigos, there is a speciific religion i follow. it is based on the aztecs

once we die we all go to the Mictlan, i will my parents there once we r dead

hence i think having no parents is worse then losing ur parents

Never having them, probably.
At least if you've lost them you can still remember them, and keep them as a mental role model that you can strive to be like, and you know for sure that you had parents who loved you, but if you never had them you basically have nothing.

I take it this is about Naruto and Sasuke.
Sasuke lost his parents, and under usual circumstances that would be more saddening than not having parents since that start. But Naruto never had parents and was looked down upon and shunned by everyone. Sasuke, on the other hand, was appreciated by everyone. He himself chose not to make any friends and stay alone to reach his goal.

How can anyone pick the first choice? Can you feel bad for losing something you never had or know? You may feel lonely, but losing parents is far worse, it shouldn't even be debatable

If you had parents and lost them you know that they loved you or did not, you know if they were good or not. But if you never new them then you will always be haunted by the same statements from above as Un acer questions for the rest of your life, along with asking yourself were you wanted or not? If you did something wrong for them not wanting you?

I don't think you know what loneliness is if that's really what you believe.
