The local breeze smelled of fresh pine, while the lake rippled in harmonic elegance. "Ahhh." A nonchalant Byakuren cooed; pleased with the soothing scenario he'd found himself currently in.

Byakuren's attention refocused on the scene before him; a giant crustacean arose from the peaceful, harmonic lake in a sudden unknown uprising. Atop of the animal a young man mounted himself, relaying a simple question about Ninjutsu, a form of chakra manipulation all shinobi had access to. "Ohoho..." Byakuren chided. "This is... Quite the surprise. I wasn't expecting such a dramatic entrance." Byakuren clapped amusingly. "Ninjutsu has become the source of many subcategories: Elemental Ninjutsu, Medical Ninjutsu, Bukijutsu, Fuinjutsu, etc. etc." Byakuren yawned, the lake's beautiful scenery made his old bones heavy with relaxation. Water was a natural stimulant for him, especially in times of irritation, or worry; anywhere there was water, there was a calm Byakuren. "Simply put, Ninjutsu is the catalyst for many, many styles of combat in this world."

By the looks of it, Feitan hunched that it had been quite a while since he arrived in here, however it didn't look like his inner peace was disturbed. The Dark user immediately decided to break the ice. "I believe I was called upon here in order for you to learn from me. Can you imagine it? An old, experienced looking man seeking to learn from a young man. Regardless, let's get down to business. Tell me, what do you know about chakra in our world? How did it originate from and what are its forms?"

Sorry if this was too indepth/immersive, it's just how I prefer things, as I get into RP heavy brother! Byakuren gazed into the vast horizon, the still waters silent, and serene. The old man's eyes faltered, not from tire, but relaxation, he'd always felt at home whilst occupied by water's presence. "Hmm." A hum escaped his olden lips, as a breeze of cool air danced across his features. Not a moment later, complimentary to the zephyr, a foreign voice penetrated the atmosphere. Byakuren's zen state had been broken, craning his neck in efforts to size up the stranger. "Ahhh, come here my boy." Byakuren voiced gruffly, patting his wrinkled hand next to his side, sitting at the dock's edge, his feet greeted by the water's inviting poise. Byakuren had set a notice to neighboring villages, in efforts to locate a knowledgeable individual, pertaining to the arts of Ninjutsu. It wasn't that Byakuren didn't understand the art of Ninja Techniques, but more so, he enjoyed different outlooks, and interpretations of the style; knowledge truly meant everything to him. A smile played upon the old man's lips, his toothy visage resembling a shark's very own. "Even the old, can learn something from the young." Byakuren nodded to himself in self agreement. "Your generation has rose to levels my own couldn't even have fathomed to obtain! Do not confuse me with that of ignorance, my boy, no... If anything, I am in admiration of this generation, and the next to come! You all have so much potential, so much potential in fact, that it scares me. The things you'll all be able to accomplish in time, is truly horrific..!" Byakuren's smile mirrored that of a Cheshire cat's, his feelings toward his successors genuine, and true. Candidly he believed every word of his prior rant, that the former generation had far surpassed his own, and the cycle would continue, such a realization of the era's progress truthfully made him proud. Clearing his throat he began to pull forth a scroll, the same scroll given to him by another one of his mentors. Sasuke Uchiha. Removing the small object from his pocket, he held it out toward the young man, signalling for him to take the item, and read its contents. Spoiler ±± Ninja ±± A ninja is someone who uses their full abilities in the service of his/hers beliefs, working to achieve a goal. This goal can be anything from peace to war, money, destruction, personal griefs or even revenge and can be shared with others or individual. Most ninjas are fighters and correspond to the bulk of the military force of the great nations. However, a ninja doesn't need to be a fighter. Even medics or a simple carpenter may, in times of need, use his abilities (medical knowledge or abilities in working with wood for example) to accomplish the goals he set to himself, following his beliefs. ±± Chakra ±± Chakra is the energy that is formed through the passive combination of both the Physical and the Spiritual energies in a sentient being (every living being with a conscious mind has chakra). Physical energy corresponds to the vitality of the body and its own energy. Spiritual energy corresponds to the mind or spirit, and comes from the awareness and "soul" of each sentient being. Some ninjas have high levels of chakra because they have great physical energy (like the Akimichi or even Tsunade) and others because of their spiritual energy (like the Uchiha and the Yamanaka). However, its much more difficult to increase the spiritual energy than the physical one, thus why all ninjas pass through intensive physical workout. Yin and Yang are based on this same concept. Yin is the basis of the spirit while Yang the basis of the body. In this i won't go into more dept because there are 2 things to consider: Yin/Yang manipulation in our RP is different from the manga one and both are more or less inacessible. Chakra flows in a circulatory system inside your body, in a way that much resembles the blood circulation. This circulatory system has 8 small reservoirs that act as both storage but also chakra regulation. These are the eight inner gates. Along your circulatory system, small "portals" exist that enable you to expell chakra from your body. These are called Tenketsu and there are 361 of them scattered allong the body. When a tenketsu opens, chakra poors out of it. Its by molding the chakra that comes out of the tenketsu that you produce ninjutsu and genjutsu. ±± Ninjutsu ±± Ninjutsu, or Ninja Arts, is the ability to, through the use of chakra, accomplish tasks that would be otherwise impossible to do. Ninjutsu are done by 2 stepts: focusing your chakra and molding your chakra. Focusing is using your will power to "will" a portion of your chakra to do something. On the other hand, molding is giving your chakra a set of characteristics that will enable you to produce the desired end effect. Think of the chakra flow as our breathing. Normally, it happens passively, without any conscious intervention. However, when you need to you can use your will to control it. Its the same with your chakra flow. Its happens normally without your consicious intervention. However, you can focus your chakra and make it produce something. Now, molding the chakra is done by two basic principles: Shape Manipulation and Nature Transformation. These correspond to the two broad areas that one needs to change in the chakra to produce a jutsu. Shape manipulation pertains to the ability to give your chakra a desired form while Nature transformation pertains to the ability to give your chakra a desired set of characteristics/properties. Sometimes, to better mold chakra, ninja use Handseals. Handseals are simply hand gestures that allow the ninja to more easily concentrate and mold the chakra into the desired technique "That'd be the textbook version of chakra, my boy. However, if you want grandpa Byakuren's version, here it is." Byakuren sighed, then proceeded to continue his speech. "Chakra is life itself, it's the physical, and spiritual aspect in every living thing on this earth; I've even heard of theories from scholars in Kirigakure, along with neighboring villages, that chakra is the coding of our very soul... HA! Wouldn't that be something?! Huh, my boy!" Byakuren palmed his beard, stroking it sternly, before continuing. "There are many different beliefs as to how chakra truly originated, as that is the way of humanity, clinging to their ideals, and opinions despite fact, or fiction; we are an interesting race, are we not?" Byakuren's smile remained stagnant as ever upon his question to the young man before him. "Alas... I believe chakra has always been present in mankind, I don't believe in the fairy tale stories connecting a "god," or "goddess" to the creation of chakra, for mist sake that's nonsensical! Hmph, I could relay to you tens, if not hundreds of theories debunking the presence of a higher power granting the human race a tool such as chakra!" Byakuren caught himself, noticing his trademark rambling had begun. "My boy, I apologize" Byakuren grunted embarrassingly. "Sometimes this old, withered mind begins to rant, and doesn't know when to stop HAHA!" Boisterous laughter erupted from his throat, clapping his hands in unison, he was a cheery old man, sure clearly out of his sorts somewhat, but jocular to the very end. And again, he ranted on. "Let's see, my boy... There are two type of forms regarding chakra. Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu. Ninjutsu harnesses the physical aspect, more so than the spiritual, while Genjutsu utilizes the spiritual aspect, more so than the physical." Then there's the ability to incorporate chakra into styles of combat that do not originally depend on chakra, such as Taijutsu, and Kenjutsu. Back in my reign over Kirigakure, I'd seen the inclusion of such methods, my how deadly they proved to be once mastered! Ohoho... I wonder how far the new generation has developed chakra, my, oh my..." Byakuren remained seated, staring peacefully into the still, stagnant lake, before again addressing the unfamiliar young man. "Your name, my boy? It is common courtesy to address one first, with your name. I am Byakuren, and who might you be?" Another toothy grin plastered itself across his face cheerfully.

As soon as the old man began to speak, Feitan realized that he wasn't the only one teaching, but the other way too. Even though the Dark user had more knowledge in general ninja skills, you couldn't just defeat this old man with his witty statements. His thought-provoking, and yet ridiculous to some degree words that came out of his mouth felt truly that of someone who had been through a lot. The only thing Feitan would disapprove was his excessive admiration for this current generation. "I'd probably advise you not to be so keen on my generation. We've done lots of good, however, the bad things we committed are just as many, if not more. Although, I'm not ashamed to say that I've been part of evil schemes in the past, or rather in the present too. To every place I have been, I have caused nothing but destruction using this chakra we ninja cheerish the most." Feitan stopped the moment he realized he was getting carried away too much. He inhaled deeply and exhaled to refresh his thoughts as a scroll was given to him. As Feitan was reading the scroll thoroughly, he also listened to Byakuren covering what is said in it with his own words. Needless to say, the Dark user preferred the old man's version instead, politely throwing the scroll back and commending him for the traditional explanation.

"That was excellent, I needn't hover around this topic more as it would be time-wasting on our part. Let's get down to business. Though I do wonder if that old and rusty body of yours will be keeping up with all the tasks I'm about to demonstrate to you." Feitan said with a half-jokingly and half-serious tone. The darken locks fell over Feitan's eyes, obscuring a little bit of his vision but not taking Bykuren out of his sight. "I'm called Feitan and hail from the same country as you as well, however the course of the years have changed my opinion on my country of birth."

"Shhh...." Feitan motioned with his index finger up. He was trying to tell Byakuren to stay quiet and close his eyes, focusing his hearing on the nature sounds. "Do you hear the group of fishes swimming slighlty behind you in that part of the lake? Call forth multiple sharp needless in your mouth and shoot them with great precision on the fishes. I'd want you to exactly hit two of them. They look delicious too and I'm hungry, so hurry up." Feitan said with a low, soft yet audible enough voice. "What is the main weakness of this stealthy technique, though?" He asked the old man after he supposedly killed the two fishes.
