Networking Question

I posted this in the "Konoha IT Centre" since it had questions about Networking and Servers.


Anyhow, for the last two days, my phone has not been able to jump onto Narutobase (I'm using my laptop), and I was looking for any suggestions. The screen when I try going to the page/re-freshing on my phone says the following...

So if anyone a little tech savvy can tell me what's going on with the phone I'd appreciate it. I figured resetting or turning the phone off and back on would help, but it obviously did not work. I've had it prompt "Bad Request" before, but it would only happen once before a quick page refresh would solve the problem. It also fails to work either by Service Plan or by WiFi when normally it works with both. Considering this is the only site it won't work with, I'm assuming it has something to do with the server... maybe the recent updates not co-operating with my phone... though that doesn't make sense since it worked just fine when it had the new Purple Update for people and passwords.

I would suggest blowing away the cache for the web browsing app you have. I've seen behavior like this with corrupted cache data trying to make a request to a site.

Depending on your phone, it'll be different, but normally it's through Settings > Application/Application Manager then find the web browser or internet app (might need to select a different tab of the manager pending the layout). Select to clear your cache.

This is coming from a Android. Dunno the same process for iPhone, but that's what you'd want to do.

Alright thanks guys! That did it!

I thought it might have something to do with Cookies... but I never really thought about the idea of deleting it (that and I hadn't gone to delete the cookies in a while).

If you're using firefox, you can use ctrl+shift+R to refresh the page and bypass the cache completely.
