On a cold winter night
rugged up tight
A sleepless man is losing a fight
Blood stained clothes
Caused by broken oaths
Once trusted, a man is now loathed
In a city that never sleeps
In a place that death reaps
Hope is not something that a man just keeps
a city of neon lights
Without love but only fights
Is a place where dreams get set alight
Just stay alive
For when day arrives
Go about your daily lives
Enjoy the sight
Before the night
Now once again it won’t be right
