Hey, I am a big fan of the series. I am overthinking to watch the third movie. But where in timeline does it play? And what were your feelings after watching the series? =D When Final movie 4 is coming out?:ilu:

A fellow NGE fan! :T_T: I loved it! Definitely one of my fave animes of all time. The 4th one is supposed to come out sometime this year, but who knows.... It will most likely be postponed like all the others.

The 3rd Rebuild follows the alternate story established by the first two Rebuilds. It revolves around Kaworu, mostly.

There has been no official date announced for the 4th Rebuild.

I recently started the series and at episode 6...i'm not really getting the fuss just yet. I watched the You Are (Not) Alone movie but then regretted it when I found out there was a fourth unreleased one that I don't want to wait for.

Should I keep watching?

It's reccomended you watch NGE in this order:

First 24 episdoes -> The movie "End of Evangelion" -> Then the last two episodes of the series.

The last two episodes were more of an insight to the actual characters. Also, there was budget problems and the writer was going through depression during that time. End of Evangelion is basically the ending the series would have had.

It's a great series, especially the psychological aspect of it. I think I'm one of the few who liked the End of Evangelion ending and how crazy things got. xD

The Rebuild of Evangelion movies take place in an alternate timeline; things are changed quite drastically from the third movies onwards compared to the events of the anime. It's supposed to have a completely new ending as well. The final movie in the Rebuild series is scheduled for a 2015 release in Japan, but it might take up to a year for it to be released overseas.

Evangelion is a crazy series that will always have a special place in my heart.

I personnaly enjoyed the 1-26 episode run, but I think the other alternate endings is for the fan to decide based on their intake of the show.

the second rebuild movie is easily one of the best anime's to date lol, I watched the ending(just the ending) way to many times because it was so emotional!!!!!
