*A serpent crawls across the ground, approaching a well-used firepit with its latest prey, a rabbit. A small meal, but beggars cannot be choosers on such a prairie. The serpent then rises up and grows arms, then legs, then its head shifts and turns, finally its back straightens and tightens, forming a human form. This human then begins to skin the rabbit, removing its fur and skin. Its then degored, its organs removed. The skin is placed upon a nearby rock to dry while two legs are skewed over the firepit. The human then starts the fire and turns the legs around it. And thus begins another evening in the life of Jacob Night.*
