*Daxter sighs and counts use moving forward. Eventually they entire a city which is destroyed.*

"Shade work....."

(FYI, I don't want Dax to be freed for a while. Like one of the last while.)

(Its up to you how he gets freed. Heck you could even have the villain enter the shade dimension to free him)
Reqak: Cause a ruckus and have fun

Furtivo: Adam? Its Furtivo! Stop!!!

(I really need to specify the attack. For future reference mental combat is different from physical combat because each person's mind has a different set of rules. Just a heads up. A simple attack and counter like that won't involve those rules but as the fight gets more intense rules will either allow something to happen or prevent it. So remember when breaking into someones mind your have to subjugate them. Which means defeating their will or ability to fight and asserting your rules over theirs. That's why each mind should feel different. Also shades have a different rules so their minds might be too similar)

Lightning strike right in front of Furtivo causing a spark of fire to happen and catch the forest around it in flames. The flames continued to increase in size until flight was out of the question. Once Adam was satisfied with the defense he set around his mind Adam caused a ray of light to rampage towards Furtivo.

*Daxter smirks and fades away. He appears in a city a distance away from the city his grandson is currently in. His Beowulf bone gauntlets and boots appear again as Daxter procedes to punch the base of a building. Green vines creep up the building until they reach the top. Once at the top the vines release spores that latch onto people and rot them. Daxter then flies from building to building punching and kicking them, this time destroying them, leaving no vines.*

*Sees the city being destroyed in the distance*
Shadow: Hey prince... you may wanna see this...

"Spores? There's only a handful of Shades that can perform that."

*Without speaking, Daxter takes off in the direction of the broken city.*

"Gramps. It's gonna be fun fighting you! Hahahaha!"
