It's kinda vague because does he want to revive akatsuki to plunge the entire world into a war? Does he want something like the warning states era? Despite it being vague it's kinda unique goal considering that most naruto villains want peace in one way or another but this guy wants the opposite :lol.

Idk...... somethin is off because we have Sasuke saying the threat is from Kaguya's era an this baldy shin is upset that Sasuke killed Itachi. So the motives are kinda screwie at this point an they haven't mentioned orochimaru since.

This baldy Shin is not from Kaguya's era so the scenario is alil off to me but i guess the answers will come soon enough.

We have DBZ going back to its roots, so Naruto might do the same. Orochimaru is like the Frieza of that universe. Still, orochimaru is a very vague character. We still dont know what he wants. I believe the movie is the perfect way to end him. Remember he caused much destruction during the first chunin exam. Perfect way to up the ante would be to have the same thing happen in the Boruto movie. Only this time, he gets killed by Sasuke or maybe the third's grandson. Thoughts?

Akatsuki revive is more like starting a new... A new dawn. A new reason. The idea of it is powerful..

Reason for them hating Sasuke for Itachi is that that Shin Snr lost this chance to get this hand on itachi eyes an those weapons too.

He's said to have a role in the movie but wasn't confirmed to be a villain role. Honestly i hope not, I dont want kishi to ruin oros character any further.

He already has a line up of Shins and yet he talks about reviving akatsuki, so he might want to bring back the old members.

Having something to fight against is what made people strong, so it stands to reason that peace makes people weak.

And eventually the human race would go extinct. So thats what hes trying to prevent by creating disorder
