You can't change your destiny. You can't change your fate. No matter how much you work and train, if you are already destined to be strong, then that effort is simply useless as you are already granted incredible strength from jump street. The reason why Kage are Kage is because they were destined to become hokage. You cannot just become Hokage by just wishing for it. It has to come natural and that is clearly what Neji was talking about.

Lee and Naruto are very funny characters. Lee, a hardworking individual who believes that hardwork and training will amount for success over the gifted genius, and Naruto believes that people can simply change their destiny.

The prophecy of the great lord elder even noted how Naruto was chosen to bring about great change to the ninja world with his Kyuubi power if he learned to control it properly. Naruto, who was already destined to be the child of prophecy and born into the Uzumaki clan, talks about hardwork and effort, but this can all be declined because Naruto was already born to be a strong person and it was his destiny to fight a strong Uchiha with powerful eyes (Sasuke). That was his destiny from the beginning.

It's funny how this guy can talk about changing your destiny when in fact this guy was gifted with a large chakra pool + the Kyuubi's enhanced chakra and being a strong individual to change the ninja world. After Naruto was destined to be the savior, all of his words about hardowork and determination have been nullified.
Then we come to the recent chapters, which state that Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations of Ashura and Indra. This right here, is proof enough that Naruto and Sasuke do not need hardwork to be strong as they were already chosen to be strong from the beginning.

It's clear that these two individuals were destined choosers to be strong individuals of past entities. The very definition of hardwork and effort is useless when you are already the reincarnations of two of the strongest people to ever exist in the Narutoverse.

This series has completely moved from that hardworking individual who trains and tries to get stronger (Lee) over the genius who was born with talent (Neji)<-------------that notion has completely been destroyed as powers, destinies and generations of past members have completely overthrown this theme into the wind.

Knowing this base, I will probably get some hate, but this is how I feel.

Destiny. Yet another theme Kishi shafted with his story. Right along side hard work.

Yeah.... honestly you are correct.

I get what you're saying. ALTHOUGH Naruto worked hard- of course he did. He worked extremely hard... but I get what you're saying... it was his destiny to work hard and get strong, just like the Sage's son. It's weird. But yeah I agree with you, Neji was correct! :p

This is why Neji was killed. Just imagine Neji's reaction of he sees Naruto all op and prophetic and realizes he was right all along.

Kishi needed to exterminate him because neji's presence made it too obvious that kishi was going against part 1 themes and thus was a bad writer

That why Neji is my fav male character. He stated a fact and learned to live with what time he had and make the most of it in a way his father would be proud.

And I also like Sakura and Lee because they showed hard work pays off without super powers.

Guy is also a fav but right now I'm preparing for his death. Lol

I'm referring to Konoha and the K11.

You should have said in that sentence of ''k11'' because people would have named a lot of people and even prove you wrong although i agree of what you've said.

Naruto is an underdog who works hard, and yet is the child of prophecy, the reincarnation of the Sages son, and the Nine Tails Jinchuriki....

Lol well, it didn't matter to me because it was my personal opinion. I just clarified it so no one would get insulted.

Neji ideals was more along the line, "Once a failure always a failure." That's really not true.

Naruto was destined to be confined to the village as the nine tails jin. Just because Ashura was attached to him doesn't mean his path was already written out for him. He still had to work and earn everyones respect. The top says it all.

I was going to agree with this post at first, but when i sat back and actually thought about it i disagree. Yes both naruto and sasuke were handed a lot of power but they still had to work to harness and control that power. Naruto had to work to yield his power, people forget it wasnt until this war that the nine tails was messing with naruto chakra. Hence his power and potential were always off and never at full potential. He had to almost give his life in order to convince people that his will and resolve was brave enough and inspired enough to believe in and follow. He earned every single one of his friends and fought to master all the power that he wielded. Had he not worked for any of it then no of anything that he did would have mattered.
