Neji Vs Sakura: Taijutsu Warfare
Disclaimer:This thread is not to prove a point, but it will display my views and opinion. This thread is not me saying this is a fact, just how I view and perceive the naruto world.
I chose these two because they are nearly equal as far as the data book is concerned. Though the data book is not a good reference to judge fighters as they often change due to the progression of the manga. but I do think its a nice reference point to get an idea of skill level.

Apon first glance I gave this fight to neji due to the fact this would be a taijutsu war and his taijutsu far outclasses sakura as far as technique is concerned. In terms of speed and finesse, No one can match the Gentle Fist style.
He is good at avoiding punches, which is bad for sakura because her taijutsu is lacking in terms of technique. Neji can effortlessly counter her with blocks and Rotation. Not to mention Byukugan. He will be able to see most attacks before they land and counter. Hiding for sakura is not an option and sneak attacks would be nearly impossible.
Not only that but the 64 palm technique renders chakra points useless, leaving sakura unable to use he chakra enhanced strength. And to make matters worse, neji could also attack sakura from mid range, her worst nightmare in my opinion, with vacuum palm. With that said things were looking pretty grim for sakura up until you take into account two things
1. The Yin seal, Which allows her to self heal and use the chakra stored in the seal, not the chakra neji could have possibly blocked.
2. Katsuya which can heal,deal long range damage, and provide excellent defense.
Neji and sakura both beat the living pulp out of eachother. neji landing a large amount of strikes while sakura lands less but deals more damage. eventually sakura's damage will decrease due to blocked chakra passages. but her chakra along with her health but will be replenished by the yin seal. by that time though neji had been winning the fight he would have taken massive damage. He would be weakened and would have to fight a fresh sakura.. and if he somehow manages to deplete her health again katsuya will step in and finish neji off for good.
Neji wins 4/10
Sakura wins 6/10
