this is not in shippuden, and lee is a lot smarter in battle then most people give him credit

Lee definitely, by the time Neji senses him with his 359 degree vision lee would already be on his ass (with the gates of course), Lee is strong and smart, the only reason he lost to gaara was because he was a freak of nature. but yeah hed probably be passed out for a while because of the strain on his body

Lee because naruto's punch can get through to neiji... and lee has jesus speeds FASTER than Gaara's sand (when he takes off his weights alone)....that Byakugan twirl thing isnt stronger than gaara's defense and lee broke it apart. If the fight occurs before the gaara fight, lee will win because he has intel on neji's full strength whereas neji doesn't know about lee's gates.

If both have full knowledge of each other, neji, being the genius, will figure out that once lee opens the gates, he only has to outlast lee, and therefore neji will play on the defensive (which his battle style is suited for) and win.
