All logic points to Yamato and Asuma winning due to them being jounin, Asuma being an apparent taijutsu specialist and Yamato having Hashi's cells, but I find absolutely no way for them to keep up with gated lee.

Ninja rank isn't a factor here, especially since Neji is a jounin and Lee obviously is jounin level as well.

I'll say Neji and Lee win.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, 6 gates Lee beats Neji, Yamato and Asuma at the same time.

Well then you'd be wrong....?

I like Lee too but christ we're talking 3 jonin here. I'm convinced Yamato is the strongest out of the 4 so Team Jonin defeats Neji & Lee. It'd be a really tough battle though.

Thing is, Part 1 Gated Lee was moving so fast nobody in the room could keep their eyes on him.

The three lack any movement recognition ( sharingan ) or speed to keep up with him and his gated attacks were enough to get through Gaara's defences, which are way superior to the human body.

Yamato is really weak. He nearly got killed by a base part 2 Sasuke. Don't know what the fuss about him is. He's useless. His only role was constricting the Kyuubi, and he failed even that.

It's a good point but speed really isn't everything in a fight- Neji can definitely spin fast enough with the 64 palm rotation but I genuinely have no idea who'd win out of Jonin Neji & Lee alone to be honest. With wood jutsu, air palms, wood cages, fire ash jutsu and one really agile jonin al over the place on the field to compete with can Lee seriously avoid all of it? Lee's body also starts to deteriorate in that state so he hasn't got stamina on his side either.

It's weird that i'm arguing a case against rock lee for a change...

Wow, Lee is my favorite character, but I wouldn't go as far as saying he solos those 3. For one, even though it's very plausible that he can open more then 5 gates, he hasn't shown to yet in the manga, so we can't use 6 gated Lee. Second, while I think he can defeat all of them 1 V 1, he definitely doesn't posses the stamina to defeat all 3 at once.

Care to explain how Yamato and Asuma win?

He kicked Gaara around for a while and only had to go out of 5gates because he used the Hidden Lotus. He doesn't need Hidden Lotus against them. One of those punches is more than enough to break bones and neither opponent has an armor or something that soaks the damage.

This speed is the Part 1 one, and we all know how much weaker people were in Part 1 compared to 2.

If his footsteps can break stone, do you think a PUNCH or KICK has any issue crushing bones?

Asuma hasn't really got moves that can affect neji

Burning ash deems useless on neji since in the ash he uses byakugan to see where exactly the enemies are and rotation to block the jutsu. Yamato hasn't shown any speed feats and the reflexes to keep up with anything as fast as even three gates, remember hebi sasuke was able to look down on yamato with his skill and speed ( hebi is slower than lee now) I don't think yamato is faster than gaaras sand defence and as part1 lee has shown us, he has the speed and strength to bypass it. Hidden lotus or primary lotus could do some damage to yamato as well as asuma.

It won't be easy but neji and lee win mid-high diff
