Neji=overhyped

I dont understand why Neji was Jonin, he was good in part 1 when taijutsu was the name of the game but he has 0 elemental techniques and only uses taijutsu, who can he really beat thats akatsuki level, he definitely couldn't beat any akatsuki besides hidan but even then won't kill him so possibly would lose.

Because he can disable your entire Tenketsu and ability to use any Jutsu unless you have a Biju to save you like Naruto did.

He isn't God Tier or anything, but he is a Genius with skills worthy of being a Jounin.

I wouldn't say overhyped, but underdeveloped the naruto series really isn't about equally character growth some main characters are going to get more shine lesser characters, but I think he still has a place in the future of the series.

yeah part 1 he was the best of the bunch but part 2 he can't use any jutsu or at least doesn't he's a one trick pony who needs to be super close to be effective

Adding to the things said above, the Akatsuki aren't your run of the mill Shinobi, every jounin that remained jounin (Meaning Jounin without epithets, like the Sannin or the white fang or .....) would lose to them low - mid diff. So, Neji not being able to defeat one doesn't make him weak

Neji has 3 chakra elements yet doesn't use it. Technically he has 4 if you count air palm being the air elements.

I guess I meant character development but he was supposed to be so good and talented and made you think he would be near naruto or sasuke's level but then it seems like with all hyuga there all really good but none are excellent like the few uchiha or jinchuriki the byakugan was supposed to be so good and then the sharingan made it look like who cares if you have it or not

The Hyuga's in general are nerfed for not utilizing their elemental affinities and combining it with their techs/fighting style.

They're still pretty OP in their own right though, just not Naruto/Sasuke tier.

neji was very over hyped, just him losing to Naruto made him lose all credibility. well I guess since he wasn't born in the main branch, maybe then he would have learn some really op echs

Repeating what has already been stated in this thread is that neji didn't get his moments enough to show what he really could do and now never will. Sadly his character was set up to be awesome and was stated to be able to do great feats. Honestly I believe if Neji was alive he would have shown to be really amazing in his own right, not naruto/sasuke amazing but amazing none the less.

All the Akatsuki are far above the average Jonin. Just because someone can't beat an Akatsuki member, doesn't mean they can't be as good as a regular Jonin. Furthermore, Neji wouldn't have to kill Hidan. He could just cripple him.
Just because he hasn't used any Nature Release Jutsu you think he isn't Jonin level? GTFO.

I mean out of Kakashi, Guy, Asuma, He is by far fodder compared to them and if you include Darui, the tsuchikage's daughter, and all other eel known jonin he's still fodder sorry
