I've said this countless time before and I'll say it again.
Neji Hyuga was the most underappreciated character of all time. Not only they try to hype him up as a jounin, but literally he was a prodigy of his clan who was praised by Kakashi, Hiashi and even Third Hokage. He was arguably the strongest of Konoha 11 at one point before this series turned into Naruto and Sasuke fetish.
Neji literally had untapped potential considering Kishimoto could've made Neji relevant to the Ootsutski connection with Hamura but instead he had almost none to zero screen time and when he finally get a spotlight he was literally brought back to die randomly over horrible pairing which has absolutely no contribution to this arc because his death cement absolutely nothing.

Hizashi believed Neji can change his fate but everything throws out to the window, kishimoto disregard his main theme where Neji winds up dieing as a Hyuga slave boy. Literally he died as a plot device fodder and that's sad, Kishimoto throws out all the potential.

There have been plenty of characters that have died and then been revived. Why is Neji any different? Neji still had room to grow and discover new things. Jiraiya and Asuma already served their time and passed on their torch to the next generation. Neji did not get a chance to receive that opportunity yet and now he never will. Hell, even Gaara and Kakashi faced similar deaths and they were somehow brought back. Even Gai was entirely RESOLVED to DIE yet gets saved.

Someone like Kakashi, Gaara, Gai, Tsunade, Onooki, and Raikage should've died.

At one point in the interview Kishimoto stated that he planned to "kill off one of the member of Team 7" which presumably to be Kakashi yet he changed his mind. Kakashi is much older than Neji and yet he was saved. Why is that?

It's because Kishi doesn't have the balls to kill off someone like Kakashi or Gaara but he has the balls to kill off Neji because he assumes that Neji is not so important enough to keep around so he just got rid of him for an asinine NH moment. How ridiculous.

I completely agree . I mean heck , he didn't even has the balls to kill Gai . I mean Gai's death was really acceptable

But do you think that there is a chance that they will revive him in the Boruto manga ?

I just hope so , it would be really cool to see him back as a villain with his fatalism believes , because he was right from the very beginning. Everything was destined in this cursed manga

What really bothers me is that hypothetical speaking, Kishi probably throws Neji potential away just to showcase through Boruto because the concept of Bolt character had alot of significance from his uncle.
Boruto is a prodigy just like his uncle.
Neji means "screw" hence bolt and screw entwined.
Boruto holds his fate on his shoulder after Momo made big factor about his destiny just like how Neji always talks about fate all the time.

I remembered Kishi stated something along the line about Boruto being born and was name aftet his uncle because Neji was the one who got NH together (Which his death cement nothing because of the movie).

Honestly, I don't believe we will ever see Neji and even then he will probably be mentioned through bedtime story where himawari usually visit his funeral or ghost neji will give boruto some power up or some shit
