Am I the only one annoyed that Neji died. Out of all the character's that were around he had to pick Neji?? What about Shino, Akamaru, Ino, and Ten-Ten. I would've preferred Ten-Ten but that's besides the point. Why did he have to take Neji? It's old I know but it still bugs me when I re-read the manga (so that I have my **** straight when I rebut someone) . Let me kow what you guys think

Doesn't matter which of the K11 Kishi killed. I'd be meh for each of them.

Because Neji was Hinata's family so it was his duty to protect the main branch of the Hyuga clan.

I personally didn't feel anything when he died, he was all but irrelevant after part 1.

Neji was an awesome character. I think the only reason he was chosen to be killed was because he was probably the favorite of the konoha back-up group. The writer probably wanted the fans to be upset about it like people would have been upset about a person they knew dying in a real war.

I've been trying to accept it even though it happened 2 months ago, and even now it's still hard sometimes (that's why I watch the Rock Lee spin-off, he's practically the star! lol).

He was my fav male, but when I looked back on his story in part 1, his death seemed to already be planned by Kishimoto, and his lack of appearance in part 2 kind of sealed it. Once he knew the real reason his father died, it would inspire him to care for Hiashi and Hinata, and when he became close to Hinata it was inevitable.

I find one thing a bit contradictory though, when he almost died in part 1 he said he couldn't because he was called a genius, then he dies in part 2 and says it was because he was called a genius. lol

So Kishi could find a way to have the Hyuuga involved in the story again.

Did it really matter? They were actual characters in part 1 sure, but in part 2 they were nothing but empty faces. Who cares if they die at this point, we never see them anyway. You could go through the entire story of part 2 with all side character from part 1 being dead and nothing would change at all other than their roles in part 2 would be replaced with filler characters. (the only exception to that might be when Asuma died)

Neji's death pissed me off too, but I got tired of talking about it. I just kinda move on, ya know? It's whatev, the war arc isn't that great anyways.

asking someone to die in nejis place is cruel and uncessary character bashing. neji himself would never have wanted anyone to die for him. his role was over and his character finished on a note that made complete sense. keeping him around if he wasnt gonna do anything anymore is equally bad
