This. Atleast Kishi could have killed him for not a main family member; he was trying to defy destiny but he died in the way he is destined with. İt was an asspull by the way. Couldn't Hinata pushed Naruto out of the way? Or Why No one knows Naruto has crazy stamina and a tailed beast inside of him, Sasuke gauged a hole on him in part 1 and he survived ffs.

Her being a main family member or sucking up to Naruto more than anyone; which are the only things she has "over" Neji. She is boring af btw her screentime would involve 90% "n-n-naruto-kun" not eager to see that. Side family member can be easily get trashed and tossed aside by author. Sometimes i believe this is s highly elitist manga.
On of the bigger factors that came into me liking Neji at first was him being not apart o the main family. Just being "trash" compared to them and actually having come so far. It was always a nice thing to have in the manga. Well, in part 1 atleast.
Hinata.. Coulda been something if she wasn't made as breeding stock for Naruto.
Many people just do not see the underdog part of Neji

Hinata is...bleh. We haven't seen her giving two shits to neither her clan or clansmen. She ditched her bodyguard whose duty was protecting her for "saving" Naruto, or started to thinking about Naruto's hand right after Neji died...

And, Neji really was always the one to not be expected to be much.. Loved to see Hiashi's reaction when Neji performed the rotation! Was awesome.
