Neji Counter against 6th Gate Lee

I was watching the anime and during the fight against Kidomaru, Neji used 8 trigrams 128 palms and whilst using this technique he was in a heightened state where everything around him moved very slowly so he could defend himself with ease.

Could this speed difference be a counter against Lee's 6th gate speed? Or is Lee's speed in that state still too fast?

Also Neji is dead and therefor can't counter anything.

Neji speed is fast but rock lee outmatches his speed with his sixth gate

Also we don't know his full capacity in part 2, but considering Lee seem to open 6 gates for some while Neji had certain things in his arsenal which made them equal.

though it pains me to say it as neji is my favorite character. 6 gate lee would defeat neji.
