Neji can beat Sasuke

I must admit; I am a Neji fan, but I honestly believe this. This battle would not even be in Sasuke's favor because everything Neji does is at a disadvantage to Sasuke. Of course we know that Sasuke's ninjutsu won't have an effect on Neji, but let's move on to the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. As seen in the fight where Edo Itachi and Edo Nagato fought and Itachi used Amaterasu against Nagato. Nagato used Shinra Tensei against the Amaterasu to deflect the flames away from, a similar technique to Neji's Body Blow. Also, the Gentle Fist is said to take away any chakra and chakra based techniques, so the Susano'o would be blown away by Neji's techniques.

Neji was reputed to be a genius. I'm not saying smarter than Shikamaru, but something had to happen that Neji was upgraded to Jonin and Shikamaru is still at Chunin level. Sasuke is strong indeed, but he couldn't last against Neji because Sasuke's stamina is kinda low.

Your suggesting that Rotation users can reach unlimited speeds, and have an unlimited chakra to constantly oppose ameratsu and reach the power of shinra tensei - which would eat away at the chakra as you said. But this spin cannot be maintained for an endles amount - whilst ameratsu seems to last a much longer time. If it did fall to the ground, it would hardly be 'harmless' and sasuke can still control those flames as well as summon more. Also im not exactly sure how chakra being expended at a larger rate in order to expand the rotation's reach would make it stronger, it might be the same as before the extra chakra use - but expends too much chakra and is not sustainable.

in regards to your comparison between shinra tensei and rotation, you are completely overestimating the span and power of the rotation technique. Rotation is meant to supplement the small blindspot that the byakugan has, and act as a general defence. Its not unbreakable. It also does not effect the ground underneath (and possibly even leaves a spot open above the user).

Rotation is hardly a 'spammable' technique - it uses every chakra point in the body to release chakra while rotating - draining physical and chakra energy. It takes time to initiate and wears the user consistantly - getting back to my point of you assuming neji etc have unlimited charka...etc.

Shinra Tensei on the other hand has been used by pein within succession - which seems to totally disregard any form of chakra limitation. The 5 second limititation - although a weakness, is not totally justifyable as the one means to success against an ameratsu - if 'spamming' ameratsu, sasuke could take anyone out.

Sasuke vs Neji

They are both genious', they analyse everything consistently.

Sasuke has use of Genjutsu, and ninjutsu which is way more powerful than Neji's and any lack of power in taijutsu is accomodated for within susano'o.

You also seem to be forgetting that Rotation is a DEFENCE ninjutsu - although possibly used for offence - the abilities that Neji use are totally outscaled by Sasuke's abilities - primarily susano'o.
are you forgetting that sasuke has 'sasuno'o arrow' ?
He doesnt need to get near Neji to fight him - nor does Neji have anyway of using his chakra targetting taijutsu through susano'o and any long distance format.

Excuse me, first rotation which is meant to compliment the blind spot si released from all tenkutsu point therefore has no opening.
Amateratsu cannot eat up chakra, thats why it couldnt burn through gaara's chakra fused sands, or susanoo (when the user uses it as shield. sooo, rotation will deflect it.

rotation also those bore the ground, check the anime where either hiashi or Neji does it(it clearly illustrated there). rotation does not take TIME (if you know what i mean) to initate, its a technique i will still defend as having something to do with slowing time down, like is the battle of neji againt kidomaru and Hiashi saving Neji

Don't need any flaming because of Sasuke's hype makes him seem that he can beat both Hashirama and Edo Madara at the same time. By those facts alone, Neji would be able to take down Sasuke.

I would like to point out that I am a huge Neji fan, but these battles need logic and reasoning not fanboy opinions of "Neji could win because he's my favorite character".

Both the sharingan and Byakugan can predict movement(yes it can; read the manga. see link below for proof), but Sharingan can copy that movement it see's and use it against the opponent. Which is useless for Sasuke because gentle fist is designed to tenketsu points. It would also be extremely hard to get the jump on Neji because of his Byakugan 360 degree vision can do that haha (but, I wouldn't put it past Sasuke to figure out the weak spot.)

Ok, Lets start off with saying Neji is a taijutsu specialist. Sasuke is a close-mid range fighter. Sasuke being a close to mid range fighter gives him an advantage over Neji because he can go out of range and launch a power ninjutsu against Neji. If not for Neji's Amazing chakra control and abilities he has as the hyuga for example: rotation, he would not be able to beat most of Sasuke's techniques.

If sasuke were to use a genjutsu I doubt it would work on the Byakugan because it can see through almost anything. Advanced genjutsu I'm pretty sure the byakugan could not match against.

Sasuke is highly skilled in all three feilds of combat, which is why he is so dangerous. Where as neji has only high skill with his own clans ninjutsu and taijutsu(from what we have seen anyway).

The other thing to look at is intelligence and observation skills of both of them. For this stat its hard to say because both of them are highly observant, intelligent and are able to see the inner workings of most people's skills and abilities incredibly fast. (Sharigan and Byakugan help a lot haha)

Taijutsu winner: Neji
Ninjutsu Winner: Sasuke
Genjutsu Winner: I really don't think i need to put the name.

This is just a brief summary of my thoughts on this.
Although Neji is my favorite character I don't think he can beat Sasuke. Sasuke just has too many advantages over Neji. Don't get me wrong Neji is nto a pust over and really give Sasuke an exhausted fight, but in the end sorry Neji. Logic and reasoning point to Sasuke!
