Neji Can Beat Sasuke: My take on this.

I think Sasuke could easily set up Kirin in this match if he keeps his distance, so what happens then? Neji has nothing to counter it with and his movement speed isnt that fast.

Neji dies lol simply. But this takes a lot of prep time which is why sasuke does not use it in battle often. It is neji's responsibility to put pressure and try to get close to sasuke he shouldn't let him have this much prep

See...I am a big Sasuke hater....but even then when you think logically....there is no way neji can beat Sasuke.....

The points you mentioned above are all correct but the way you think is one sided....know what I mean.....if you think from both the prospectives......

Sasuke ain't a **** head........he has a good speed, good genjutsu(maybe not as good as Itachi....remember Itachi was a genius),susanoo.....n Amaterasu ain't easy to dodge....even if you know Sasuke is gonna throw that flame at you.....unless you are really quick....you can't evade it.....

Now, how can neji beat Sasuke?....if Sasuke goes long range....how is he gonna beat him?Sasuke can definitely fight long range but can neji?.....

I think maybe neji can beat Sasuke 1/10 times if.......

Yh that's why neji is perfect he knows sasuke is about to do something and he has heavenly rotation. So he gets a heads up and also has a way to defend great combo a normal shinobi will have to react when he see's it coming and will have to find there own way to counter.

Yh I agree but I said when susano is activte this is when neji will be on the defence and he will have to either prolong as sasuke can not keep susano active forever orr get close to it and preform heavenly rotation which can creat and opening for neji. If this happens neji will have to get sasuke in a eight trigrams 64 palm and then job done chakra points and paths blocked susano de active

If Sasuke ingages Neji in close combat he will most likely get hit by 64 palms, then it would be over

heavenly rotation cannot do anything against susano, there is a reason why susano is called one of the strongest defense.

Heavenly rotation does a lot of damage to it's surroundings look at the ground when it is preformed I think it may be able to create a small opening.

It will not burn the heavenly rotation it will burn around it and then disperse, sasuke can not spam techs like that and that fast amaterasu and sasuno both have their toll on sasuke

Someone can evade ameterasu with good reflexes such as Neji

This is true he also has one body blow and heavenly rotation. Combined all 3 of those and neji is a great counter for susano

Neji can also use a kunai yes but his taijutsu if effective enough every blow neji lands will disable chakra points and damage internal organs. Close combat with neji.. not a good idea

I don't know where people get the idea that a Shinobi could fight his opponent with closed eyes without even being a sensor, what was further Kabutos only chance to fight the Uchiha brothers with closet eyes. And if a skilled and high ranked Shinobi like Orochimaru and Deidara fell under Itachis Genjutsu easily, I don't see at what Nejis feats will be in order to counter them.

On top of that you are underestimating Sasukes Genjutsus highly; he can't control the space and the time inside of his Tsukuyomi, but still his Genjutsus were adequate to catch Orochimaru into it, paralyze a Genjutsu user and sensor like Shee and obtain informations from a Kumo-Nin and a Zetsu.

Nope if this was the old sasuke that would be the case but sasuke will start with susano and amaterasu first so this will be the main battle and if neji does succeed then sasuke's chakra points will be blocked so he will have to use taijutsu and kenjutsu.

I agree sasuke can summon his hawk if susano is de activated but he will have to get close to neji as his chakra points will be blocked.

Yh I think neji, choji butterfly mode and lee gates are the only members of konoha 11 that can stand a tiny chance against ems sasuke and naruto km mode. But with naruto BM and if sasuke gets the rinnegan, NO CHANCE and the topic should not even be brought up

When I meant long range I meant how about if Sasuke uses his hawk instead of susanno and attack him with Katon, Chidori Sharp spear, or use Kirin. He could summon his hawk if he realizes that susanno and Amaterasu is not working, you said neji would be in the defensive so it would be the perfect time for him to summon. Neji wouldn't be able to hit him at least not so fast I am sure he would be able to use some fire jutsus on the sky and Kirin. Neji isn't fast enough to counter it or dodge it. It is a bit far-fetched but still possible. I don't think Lee stands a chance since he could only open 5 gates and I believe naruto is faster or at least could attack him with rasengan or rasenshuriken while he is opening his gates same goes with EMS Sasuke Amaterasu him while opening the gates.

I never said hyuga's have perfect chakra control? I said if they are caught in a genjutsu they are the best candidates to break out of it and I said lucky for neji sasuke's genjutsu is no where near the level of itachi's. My main point is neji would not be caught in one in a one on one.


sasuke's susano has not taken a rasengan? and heavely rotation up close does a lot of damage. Just look at the ground when the user stops spinning. I believe it can make a small opening in susano like danzo's fuuton blast.

You fail to understand a hyuga's fighting style which is to block chakra path ways which prevents shinobi preforming jutsu's and also damages enternal organs. Which means sasuke arsenal is useless if neji blocks enough chakra path ways. I said susano is neji's biggest problem and if he can over come this like I have stated and actually manage to trap sasuke in a eight trigrams 64 palm it is over for him.

Agreed on all points, the main point of this thread was to provide a good read and show how neji is actually a good counter for some of sasuke's techs.

But in some matchups, regardless of how one's particular skills may be able to counter another, they are just not on the same level.

Even a Squirtle at level 20 will lose to a Charmander at level 80.
