Yazoo said to reborn prior to him sending his chakra into the geound and altering it, Yazoo causes the ground to shake, which should cause reborn to fall/be without a footing.
Right after doing that, Yazoo causes the ground to releases spikes which could skewer reborn who should be on the ground from the violent shake of the earth

Reborn glances upon his opponent as he observes his attire. The very embodiment of warrior stood upon him and of course, a fellow companion in Sunagakure. However, tension soon fueled between them and decided to take it all out in a spar, for the village's sake. Ignoring the Yazoo's taunts, Reborn feels a vibration beneath him getting much strong. He then forms a single hand seal as he releases a stream of powerful jet around him that lifts him 9 meters into the air, safely avoiding the shaking of the earth. Reborn looks down to see a few spikes to protrude from the ground, doing nothing against him nor his swords. Spike can only hope to reach a star like Reborn. Due to his mastery over Suiton, Reborn performs a single hand seal as he combines his chakra within the molecules on his wave. Instantly, a dragon of massive size forms within the wave is it heads for Yazoo, with a mouth much larger than the man. Gathering his doton chakra, Reborn performs the ram hand seal as the ground before Yazoo begins to crumble, causing the ground to lose its foundation, slowly sinking into a circular pit. Reborn leaps down from his wave as it springs into the pit, sinking him faster into the pit and drowning Yazoo to his death. If effective, Reborn will walk away with an easy victory.

The range of the pit is determined by how much chakra is put into the technique.

Yazoo had hoped that reborn would give up before things got worse. But the boy had more fighting spirit than Yazoo had anticipated. with the boy skillfully defending his technique and avoiding the secondary one, Yazoo knew it was time to up his game.
As reborn lands on the ground and forms a single hand seal to create the water dragon. Yazoo eyes squints a little, trying to not show his surprise.
I see you are greatly skilled and because of that you choose to step on my pride. Allow me show you what true despair is. In accordance to the release of the water dragon, Yazoo readily reacts by creating a giant golem beneath him, standing on the right shoulder of the golem. the golem stands up to 30meters and as soon as it was created, it stretches its hand to slam reborn.
the water dragon would hit the golem and create little to no damage on the golem as it still stands strong after taking the hit.
yazoo stands on the golem, hoping that reborn shall be overwhelmed by the mere size of the golem.
