Neil deGrasse Tyson destroys B.o.B

[video=youtube;XHBZkek8OSU]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHBZkek8OSU[/video]

I've been telling ya'll for like a year now that people will swear up and down that the earth is flat. This shit is hilarious. Neil even pulled out the dad bod.

[Illuminater]

Great, now all the science nerds are going to think they can talk shit back to people..

[Dantee]

Ghost writer.

B.O.B is the latest to get a meek. It doesn't even matter what the lyrics are like. If Neil feels like he can respond and diss you...you got an L. Plus...the last part of his diss track was just savage. xD

Hold this "meek". That wasn't his diss song, it was his sons, something even a 1 celled organism would know.

And this, is my comment.

Not that I support flat earth theory but if the earth were as round as Degrasse suggests then the would be a drop of 66 feet every 10 miles and 6.6 feet per mile. This isn't observed so the earth can't be as round as suggested by the nasa graphics images

The earth doesn't seem to be flat either. Truth is no one who isn't affiliated with military controlled or extremely wealthy organisations can independently "prove" either supposition.

[Calpal]

lol dat mic drop tho

[Illuminater]

Still waiting a reply from the guy I ethered...

First calm dafuq down.

Second....LOL, I see you went with larger font....you must have balls. xD.

Third-Dude I already listened to it. Neil was part of it genius. Every 1 celled organism knows his nephew did it but no one really cares. Apparently you don't know or care either. xD. Neil is the famous one so I'm saying it's his diss track. Even the media uses Neil as the bait for you to read it. Plus like I said, Neil's last line was hilarious. The line that Neil actually said..not his nephew...you seem a lil too eager to show your brawn on a website fam.

Lastly-are you BOB's or Meek's cousin. You seemed to take this to heart. Can't believe you replied. Must be having a rough day. Congratulations, you just played yourself. xD

No one has even claimed the earth is 100% spherical. There is a slight bulge below the equator which is where 'pear shaped' comes from.

I'd also like to ask where you're getting the first bit about how round deGrasse suggests the earth is.

The earth doesn't seem to be flat either. Truth is no one who isn't affiliated with military controlled or extremely wealthy organisations can independently "prove" either supposition.

Independent citizens of earth can't prove curvature of the earth...?

In this video, the balloon goes around 20 miles into the air. You can already see the curvature of the earth. How much more proof of a spherical earth do people need?

The earth is not a perfect circle it is elliptical meaning roundish but not a perfect circle. And many factors determine distance you're talking about a heavenly body here...again it's a thing called gravity. To put it into perspective, you don't "drop" from earth if you ran down a circular ball and gravity was always acting on you you wouldn't feel or notice a drop because that isn't how physics work. Your assumption only works if gravity were not a thing same reason how the people in Australia at the botyom right don't percieve themselves that way no more do Americans feel upper left.

Any more excuses you did not say yet?...

I still don't have an excuse for your ignorance.

Yes I am aware they say it is an oblate spheroid or something of that nature, however....

Neil says that the earth is practically a perfect sphere and he brought to attention surface features, this suggests that mere irregularities in the crust are responsible for the oblate spheroid shape but the atmosphere curves round just fine. That means the 66 feet drop should be detected by aircraft after every 10 miles. They don't detect it.

Also the lense use is a convex lense, convex lenses always show curvature depending on how much they bend light. for example

You see the change in the earth's shape? It is important to note that the lenses in our eyes are also convex, meaning they too curve images.

I never said people fall down neither did I deny the existence of gravity please read again. What I meant by "drop" is the curvature, there should be a curve down of 6.6 feet for every mile in every direction. Gravity has nothing to do with this this is something to do with geometry.

I don't get what you're trying to say with the Neil thing. Where did he say it was practically a perfect sphere? In the video he even says something to the effect of -- below the equator there is a bulge that is further from the core of the earth than the north pole is respectively.

As for aircraft detecting a 66 foot drop. Why would they and who would be trying to detect this? How do you know they don't detect this drop and account for it?

Okay so this video doesn't use a gopro with a convex lens. What say you about the obvious signs that the earth is beginning to curve as the rig reaches the apex of its flight?

The Earth as I said is not a perfect sphere and you cannot rule out gravity just because it doesn't suit your argument when gravity is the core basis and reason for virtually all shape if we're talking pure physics here. There is no "drop" or to say consistent curvature because mass is unevenly distributrd. Atmospheric mass is not the same as land mass. Also again you're disputing two different perspective. You basically took the top of an apple to explain why the bottom of an apple is not the same shape. While I do applaud your find himans have an easier tine precieving air larger than we perceive pure land that's forced perspective on your part for the picture to look at it purely from an atmospheric mass standpoint than the land you want to discuss. I would have to say you didn t use land perspective because Neil alrwady addressed that but instead use the sky perspective which is fine but cannot be used to justify the "drop" why? You cannot change atmospheric air mass in the literal sense however land mass is consistently changing. And I knew what you mean I am saying gravity plays the biggest part in whether the "curvature drop" should be perceived at all. Also I'll just leave this here for future doubts

Did you watch the whole video? He said at the end that from a cosmic stand point the earth is practically a perfect sphere or something of that nature.

As for aircraft detecting a 66 foot drop. Why would they and who would be trying to detect this? How do you know they don't detect this drop and account for it?

They don't because their sensors don't register this, the pilots never tilt the noses of their planes as they fly, they change altitude but not orthogonality.

It still uses a convex lense, when a lense correcter is used the images are completely flat. Let me remind you I never said the earth was flat but no man that isn't affiliated with the organisations I mentioned can independently prove it is round either.

Yes the atmosphere can be used because as Degrasse tyson said if you were a cosmic being you wouldn't even feel the geographical features of the earth if you touched it because they were so tiny. This shows that the geographical features or land mass don't affect the shape of the earth to the degree that you likely assume they do.

Gravity shouldn't be able to affect our perception of the curve the curvature of the earth is a geometric property, gravity is said to be responsible for the earth's shape and why people in Antarctica don't fall off but I don't believe it is responsible for the way people perceive curvature. I will say it again gravity holds the atmosphere to earth meaning it shapes the atmosphere too, so like the land the atmosphere can be used to measure the curvature. The 6.6 feet curve drop should be measure every mile.

And I'll remind you I never said the earth was flat, but I can't prove it's an oblate spheroid either. Having faith in text books and the media simply isn't enough.

How about having faith in mathematics, trigonometry and astronomical observation?

That was amazing. XD
