Negi is a 10 year old boy with red/brownish hair, brown eyes, and a height of 124cm. Negi wears glasses,(after one of his fights he obtained a scar on his left cheek), although he looks a bit scrawny, due to all the training he has done over his life, he is much stronger than an average human. He has a cute look almost all the time, but when it's time to get serious his face is filled with anger. He was born with two spiral like marks in both of his arms, they seem to only appear when he is afflicted with dark emotions. (it is unknown as to what they are able to do)

Negi is a kind-hearted boy, with a very optimistic outlook toward life. Though he is just ten years old, he at times shows maturity far beyond his years much to the amazement and admiration of his older and rowdier comrades. On an emotional level, Negi is still considered as a child and he often does not realize the full extent of the feelings of the people around him. He is also naive in many aspects of the world and his normally optimistic outlook on things does put him at a disadvantage when a more realistic approach is needed.
Negi cares for all of his comrades as if each and one of them were part of his own family.
Combined with his kindness, intelligence, unique maturity, and his unwarranted cuteness have earned him the respect, admiration, and even affection of those around him. Negi was born in Kumogakure, he bears two marks on his arms. It is still unknown as to what the marks represent. The night he was born, the Raikage issued an order of taking any infant to him, he was gathering kids to raise them and create his own personal bodyguards. Negi grew up in a hard environment, one of constant fighting and life/death situations, Negi constantly tried his hardest to live up to the Raikage's expectations, and at the age of 7 he became one of the Elite Four, a group of the four strongest kids that protected the Raikage in case of war, during an important mission; two of them were killed by enemy shinobi, Negi fell to despair and tried to avenge them. When Negi woke up several days after, he was told that there on the field laid a mass of corpses tored to pieces, and that everyone in his group had died... As soon as Negi recovered he visited his comrades graves, there he made a promise, a promise to become stronger and to protect those precious to him. Negi asked for the permission of the Raikage so that he could travel beyond Kumogakure and to search for new techniques in his search for power, At the age of 10, after having roamed the lands far and low for 2 years Negi met Laura and Yoshina, Negi formed a team with the two and they became almost like family, due to several circumstances Yoshina had to leave in search for his old master "Jack Rakan", Laura unable to follow Yoshina, stayed behind with Negi and the two travelled throughout the country helping those in need...
