[Question] Need some explaining

Hello guys. Couple years ago, Bleach started to air in my country, but only for two seasons. A cuople of days ago I started reading manga, and this morning, I have finished 424 chapters of it. It's awesome. All haill lord Aizen. Anyway, cause I read it very fast, and also didn't read chapters that were covered with first two seasons in anime so I only remember esentials part of the story, there is something I don't get. What's the deal with that white Ichigo, Zangetsu and Tensa Zangetsu? Why did Ichigo need to lose his powers to use final TZ?

Also, I don't mind spoilers, but, is Ulqiorra alive? Wish he is.

Hollow Ichigo is Ichigo's real Zanpaktou. And Zangetsu was just Yhwach, and the source of his Quincy Power, who was pretending to be his Shinigami powers.
