I am trying to make a banner

930

by 100

But when I try to get a Sasuke picture (for e.g)

obviously it is bigger than my screen size on photshop, so I have to size it down, but it looses quality

OR I tried doing it on 1000 by 400 but than I have to resize it, but it still looses the quality.

What do I do, I want to have a 930 banner by 100, but still have to quality!

Ehm, try converting the layer to Smart Object first.

But if the image is too large and you are re-sizing it way too much, then it will lose quality of course, unless it's a vector image.

Saying "for e.g." is repetitive because e.g. means "exempli gratia" which translates to "for example." So basically, you said "for for example."

It's because the ratio at which you're re-sizing the image at is different from the ratio which it is at normal resolution. For example:

An image with 200x100 pixels, can be scaled down to 100x50 (50% on either side). Message me the image and I'll see if I can re-size it?

I mean it never happens to me. My guess is that you are pressing enter button before reaching your desired size. Try resizing it with shift button down But don't press enter button until you reach your desired size

Basically what I am saying is, When I make a picture that is 300 by 400
down to a small size that fits inside 930 by 100

IT looses the quality !
