Try Steins;Gate. It's actually a psychological sci-fi drama but it has a lot of romance in the end while the OVA and the movie are fueled by the romantic feelings between the MC and xxxxx (not gonna spoil). Even if romance isn't the key factor you're in for a masterpiece that litterally has no flaws. It's just executed perfectly.

Also Hotaru mori no iku is awesome.
