I'm learning unity3d and trying to make 2d games.
I havent created one but i was wondering if i want to use anime related stuffs like for eg Goku/Naruto but with completely hand drawn 8bit graphics, will i be able to use it in the game and submit to some stores like play store would i get copyright notice??
I have seen way more people just rip images and pics right off but I'm still worried over copyright thing.
Does anyone else have any idea on this??

If you're going to sell or distribute a game using the image of a copyrighted character, you have to get permission from the owner.

But that will never happen.

Then how come there are so many rip offs available on the net?
They are free to download but loaded with ads to generate revenue.
