OK, so I've had a pair of Sony Stereo Headphones MDR-ZX100. A few months, sound stopped playing from it. I figured, I'll just let it cool down a while and tried again later. Much much later, today in fact, I tried it again, and it still doesn't work.
So, I was wondering if anyone here may know what's wrong?

Note: I already know I should go to Radioshack or something and have them look at it, but I don't have the time. So, I'm asking you NB for help.

Buy new ones? With electronics nowadays, it's often cheaper to buy a replacement than fix the original.

Might have messed the jack settings in that Realtek HD thing. You might want to have a look at it.

I agree that you should go for Sennheiser, but a model like HD800 is unnecessary if you don't plan on running a studio or something.

I have no idea why but recently those shyte headphones (SkullCandy, Dre Beats something) that the common public rave about seem to be priced equally with fairly good models of quality brands like Sennheiser and Bose.

Skip brands like Sony, Siemens and Philips too. If you can spare the money go get a Sennheiser HD558 or Bose AE2/AE2i.

people are more concerned about design and how they look rather than music quality. I personally use a-Jays earplugs .. comfortable, stylish and sound is superb
