The best advice I can give you is to try and keep in contact with her via text/phone or instant messaging. If you truly love her, then it will be practically impossible to forget about her or suppress those thoughts. By spending a few hours or so each day talking to one another, you will both be able to express these emotions and pull through until your next meeting. It sucks compared to being face-to-face, but it's better than nothing. After a while, it'll become a simple routine.
If you spend too much time apart trying to forget about her or not communicating often, then one of you will inevitably drift away and cause a strain on the relationship.
Assess the situation and talk to her about it whenever you can. You'll need to figure out whether you are prepared to go through such efforts to keep her; if not then you should break up and look closer to home.
However, if you're both willing to keep in contact regularly then you can both decide how you'll eventually reduce the distance. This could include planning to move out into an apartment together or some other alternative.
