Need help with avatar

Sorry if this isn't in the correct section.

You must be registered for see images

But when i copy and paste the gif's url into the option 1 box in the "edit avatar" and click "save changes" it says "invalid file."

Could anyone help me with this? It's under 500 kb and i can post it, so i'm using the correct url but it won't work for my avatar.

try uploading from you computer...maybe that solves it.
