Need help deciding on a new mouse.

Ok so I was in staples today and I found a couple mice that I really liked. They were all logitech. I looked at 2 trackball mice, and 2 wireless mice. I will be going to college in about 6 months and my major will be CADD (computer Aided Drafting Design). I will be using programs such as Revit and Auto Cadd and things such as that.
Now my first question: Has anyone ever had a trackball mouse? If so how were your experiences with them?
2nd Question: Would a track ball be good for cadd?
If I shouldnt get a trackball mouse then I found 2 others. they are both wireless and one is for gaming. I will not be gaming with them but is there any other plus to having a gaming mouse over a regular mouse?

gaming mouse moves more smoothly and is a little bit more sesnsetive, you would prob like it better

I am mainly looking for Cadd so I dont think the extra senstivness would be a good thing, but the smoothness of it moving might helpful
