Need a new anime

It's summer break and I have some spare time so I want to try some new animes.

Preferations:
- Good art style (not like HxH, their styling is ugly af)
- A good story
- Action, drama (deaths), strategic
- Preferable not dark animes like Death Note and Bleach.

I don't see how the art style is ugly for Hunter x Hunter. It actually matches most of your preferences aside from the death and sadness factor.

"Darker Than Black'' is pretty dark though...... as it's name suggests.

The Gaiden and season 2 are darker than season 1 if I remember correctly.
