I agree, woo for 10+ custom elements woo :/NB is becoming suckish, and now it's the RP.
All of these CE's and custom jutsu...
It's just a race for power now day's...
It used to be mostly skill, and people knew how to use the 5 basic elements, and the provided jutsu...
Like I said, just a race for power...
Wtf, nice ava Liz...I agree, woo for 10+ custom elements woo :/
Then NB really wouldnt be fun at all...Flaw's Anti-RP campaign continues.
No more RP! Take it down! KILL IT WITH FIRE!
I don't understand what you are trying to say here...I agree Stein...
I participate in that race >.>
I'm coming in last... But i'm participating...
What do you want? A re-start? (that would actually be kinda weird xd)
I dunno... Blame someone else <.<
It was funner!! I remember the training with Pesh and Roku. Everyone, most of the old fighters, have left after so many new rules.Actually, I can't precisely recall a time when NB wasn't a race for power and everyone knew how to use all elements properly. Even in the old, old days before I joined, it was much the same in terms of Opedness (probably worse actually) only it was... funner.
In other words, the RP has been and always will be pretty much the way it is now. A few people who know what they're doing, the majority who relies on powerful techs, and everything in between.
There is truth to your statement, but the reason why everything then was more fun was because there was uniqueness in the RP.Actually, I can't precisely recall a time when NB wasn't a race for power and everyone knew how to use all elements properly. Even in the old, old days before I joined, it was much the same in terms of Opedness (probably worse actually) only it was... funner.

True, maybe I should have you know, used a different word for the present...Actually, I can't precisely recall a time when NB wasn't a race for power and everyone knew how to use all elements properly. Pesh?It was funner!! I remember the training with Pesh and Roku. Everyone, most of the old fighters, have left after so many new rules.
NB was closer back then. now it's to serious..
BURRRN THE RP!!
Exactly. There is truth to your statement, but the reason why everything then was more fun was because there was uniqueness in the RP.
Not to say that the RP system itself is not unique, but the RPers have lost their distinct uniqueness. Nowadays, EVERYBODY has Gates, Kinjutsu, Special Bios, Seven Swordsmen weapons, ect.
Back then, there was little value in such things. Few people had gates (I recall Grimm and Goro were the only true gates users in the old days), and everyone was known for a specific feat or attribute that made them special/recognizable (ex. Bisha could own anyone with his Earth techniques, Elias' dark fire made him especially renowned, I had my one-move pwnages and Music Arts, Raiden speed blitzed everyone with his Killzone technique, ect.). With a growing community, this becomes more difficult to maintain, but it isn't helped by the fact that everybody has started to take up the same abilities to the point that all bios look nearly the same in terms of both structure and content. The RP, in terms of individual members, is rapidly losing its diversity.
wtf?Power struggle is always present everywhere. It is a fact so live with it.
What becomes of the next generation is a responsibility of the recent generation. How and what you pass on to the ones next in line matters a lot in how you want things to be.
Instead of complaining about RP'ers who does not know how to battle or make the RP as fun as it used to be, why not check out how you "pass on" to the next generation your so-called good-way-to-fight and fun-way-to-RP? I don't even experience much or even being shown this so-called good-way-to-fight.
Is RP really not as good and as fun as it were before, or is it just as boring or dull (or whatever you say it is) now because there are certain things that certain people could not achieve, or even worse certain people not being able to accept being overpowered by someone else?
If you should realize, we are RPing an anime that teaches about passing on, praising, encouraging, and helping the next generation to surpass the older generations. Accepting weaknesses and making room for improvement.
I sometimes think that maybe, the ones before use are holding back to teach or pass their knowledge on to the next ones in fear of being surpassed. Still so childish to accept being surpassed - something like that!
Offended with what I said? I'm not giving an apology because I want you guys to realize that there are a lot of us new RP'ers who are waiting and looking forward to what you call as fun RPing! We are all here willing to be taught and to learn! Show us what you mean instead of calling us as incapable of making it fun and making good fights. Or do you yourselves does not have the capabilities to show us what you mean? ><
I'm speaking in general, but I know that there are those who have tried their best to show us how fun RP is and how to be good with it.

WTF is actually an expression that gives me an impression that the user is unable to read between the lines.wtf?

RP was fun back then because it wasn't as serious as it is right now. Yeah there were those rivalries and heated situations every now and then but things are blown way out of proportion now. I cant remember a fight that was finished here recently without and argument. Back then we didnt argue nearly as often as we do now. The problem isnt everyones lust for power (because we were all power hungry), the problem is this "I have to win at all costs" attitude. I've contribuited in my share of OP fights, but in all honesty the fights I find the most fun are stupid little goofball fights where I dont have to defend from jutsu like "inescapable death fireball of doom" or "genjutsu of all head explosion".There is truth to your statement, but the reason why everything then was more fun was because there was uniqueness in the RP.
