NB is becoming suckish, and now it's the RP.

All of these CE's and custom jutsu...

It's just a race for power now day's...

It used to be mostly skill, and people knew how to use the 5 basic elements, and the provided jutsu...

Like I said, just a race for power...

Actually, I can't precisely recall a time when NB wasn't a race for power and everyone knew how to use all elements properly. Even in the old, old days before I joined, it was much the same in terms of Opedness (probably worse actually) only it was... funner.

In other words, the RP has been and always will be pretty much the way it is now. A few people who know what they're doing, the majority who relies on powerful techs, and everything in between.

It was funner!! I remember the training with Pesh and Roku. Everyone, most of the old fighters, have left after so many new rules.

NB was closer back then. now it's to serious..

BURRRN THE RP!!

There is truth to your statement, but the reason why everything then was more fun was because there was uniqueness in the RP.
Not to say that the RP system itself is not unique, but the RPers have lost their distinct uniqueness. Nowadays, EVERYBODY has Gates, Kinjutsu, Special Bios, Seven Swordsmen weapons, ect.

Back then, there was little value in such things. Few people had gates (I recall Grimm and Goro were the only true gates users in the old days), and everyone was known for a specific feat or attribute that made them special/recognizable (ex. Bisha could own anyone with his Earth techniques, Elias' dark fire made him especially renowned, I had my one-move pwnages and Music Arts, Raiden speed blitzed everyone with his Killzone technique, ect.). With a growing community, this becomes more difficult to maintain, but it isn't helped by the fact that everybody has started to take up the same abilities to the point that all bios look nearly the same in terms of both structure and content. The RP, in terms of individual members, is rapidly losing its diversity.

Power struggle is always present everywhere. It is a fact so live with it.

What becomes of the next generation is a responsibility of the recent generation. How and what you pass on to the ones next in line matters a lot in how you want things to be.

Instead of complaining about RP'ers who does not know how to battle or make the RP as fun as it used to be, why not check out how you "pass on" to the next generation your so-called good-way-to-fight and fun-way-to-RP? I don't even experience much or even being shown this so-called good-way-to-fight.

Is RP really not as good and as fun as it were before, or is it just as boring or dull (or whatever you say it is) now because there are certain things that certain people could not achieve, or even worse certain people not being able to accept being overpowered by someone else?

If you should realize, we are RPing an anime that teaches about passing on, praising, encouraging, and helping the next generation to surpass the older generations. Accepting weaknesses and making room for improvement.

I sometimes think that maybe, the ones before use are holding back to teach or pass their knowledge on to the next ones in fear of being surpassed. Still so childish to accept being surpassed - something like that!

Offended with what I said? I'm not giving an apology because I want you guys to realize that there are a lot of us new RP'ers who are waiting and looking forward to what you call as fun RPing! We are all here willing to be taught and to learn! Show us what you mean instead of calling us as incapable of making it fun and making good fights. Or do you yourselves does not have the capabilities to show us what you mean? ><

I'm speaking in general, but I know that there are those who have tried their best to show us how fun RP is and how to be good with it.

True, maybe I should have you know, used a different word for the present...

Now days, it's a (Struggle) for power, because you cant beat anyone without OPed tech's.

NB is now being over run with people that have no ideal what their doing, agreed U_U.

I agree. Despite having most of those abilities you named except Kinjutsu, I hate using them. In the near year and a half that I have had the gates, I only used them in four fights and three of those times were in fights against other gates users. I went from being NB's most OPed Genin with the ranking system was around to being one of the most OPed members with Gates, 4 CE's, a wide range of OPed customs, Rain, future yin-yang training, Kaguya KG, Percy Jackson bio that can perform water jutsu at a level equal to the Second Hokage, A Seven Swordsman Sword, and more and I never liked it. All those abilities in two bios are too much for me and i never used more than two of those in a fight if I could help it.

After watching the continued growth in OPedness of my first sensei's on here (Roku and Izuna), I thought that it was necessary to be OPed to be a good RPer. Then Goro liked my taijutsu skills and suggested me to make a Kaguya bio after my Lee bio got approved. Then I begin my CE making career and made some of the most OPed elements in the bureau. Then me and hasashi began our OPedness quest, just gathering abilities and getting even better at fighting. It got to the point where I was able to beat Goro in two turns by OPing him.

Then, one day it just clicked: I havent had fun on here since i was a genin training with my old Senseis. All those powers just make me sick to my stomach. I gave up battling a long time ago because of this. I occasionally do a battle or two but I can never finish it seeing my opponent spam the special abilities in their bios. I get tired of fighting and someone says something like: "I activate my curse mark and use my KG to split my body in two and make a clone who does "random OPed S-rank jutsu" while we gather chakra for Sage Mode."

Like Riku said, it was always OPed and a race for power but never on the scale presented now (at least not by most members). I admit to being more of an addition to the problem than the solution but at least back when i was gathering abilities, I still knew how to battle good. I only used the abilities when someone else used one first or the enemy was WAY stronger than me. Now, the first attacks are usually a S-rank followed by a special ability. And since I was so OPed and giving how easy it was to get there, that's one of the main reason I made the Gates tests and stuff so hard. Im trying to at least limit the amount of people who have them from the large population who seems to have them now. >_<

The RP is become diseased with uniformity, with everyone trying to have the same things in each bio. There is almost at least two threads on each page in the battle arena about a test for special abilities or a fight involving them.

Anyway, im just rambling on about a bit of nonsense now and most of my post should be ignored. This was just an extended post to show my agreement with Roku's post and how my OPedness in the RP has helped lead to this downfall of the RP.

I too am a game developer... I have quite a few ideas to make the game more interesting, easier to start, etc.

I've been RP'ing since AD&D, this sort of thing is cake. It's essentially an old Paper and pencil game, but with typing and no dice.

RP was fun back then because it wasn't as serious as it is right now. Yeah there were those rivalries and heated situations every now and then but things are blown way out of proportion now. I cant remember a fight that was finished here recently without and argument. Back then we didnt argue nearly as often as we do now. The problem isnt everyones lust for power (because we were all power hungry), the problem is this "I have to win at all costs" attitude. I've contribuited in my share of OP fights, but in all honesty the fights I find the most fun are stupid little goofball fights where I dont have to defend from jutsu like "inescapable death fireball of doom" or "genjutsu of all head explosion".

abridged version: People need to stop being so friggin' serious.

Well, also look at the development of the Manga the game is based off of. (off which the game is based... i mean) Every character has gotten OP.

The simplest thing to do is eliminate custom anything or limit it to one weapon/jutsu/summon. It's just too hard to control, no matter the system. People design them hoping you won't see the way it is "unstoppable".

The attitude thing, well that's just how 13-15 year olds behave. Especially after you make everyone "train" for months. After playing a game for that long on PC or Console, you've pretty much mastered everything there is to do in it. Here, it's the first chance you get to spread your wings, and (dating myself) kids these days have no patience.
